It's so much fun watching you gush and interact with a series you love so much! Based on some books I know you like, if you've never read them, I'd like to recommend the author Tamora Pierce. Her books are my Ranger's Apprentice; they've been my life since I was ten (24 years ago, yeesh) and she literally helped to shape a generation of writers. For you, I'd recommend her Tortall series, starting with "Song of the Lioness," which was written originally in the 80s but actually got a gorgeous cover redesign last year. I think the series (3 quartets, a duology, and a "prequel" trilogy) may be right up your alley!

@@cassandralynnreads The first quartet in her Tortall series (Song of the Lioness) got a gorgeous re-release one or two years ago. But my favorite series of hers (Circle of Magic, set in a different world) isn't in print anymore I think and is only on Kindle...which makes me cry a bit, haha

Hey!! I feel the same way about the royal ranger series. I adore the original series and was disappointed by the royal ranger series. I’m currently reading brotherband. It’s definitely not quite as good as the OG series but am enjoying it. I was overjoyed when i found your channel, and get to see another ranger apprentice hardcore fan!!

I have read the Rithmatist and wanted to share my thoughts! I gave it 4 stars. It reads like a middle grade but there are some violent scenes that make it more YA. It has a cool magic system and a fun cast of characters. I hope you'll read it soon!
