I like that you are not chained to your tbr!! So happy you still like WOT, book 6 Lord of Chaos is one of the best, the 2nd half is explosive on every level! Memorable is an understatement!

You know, I plan to become even less chained but we'll talk about it soon ;) Yeah, the WOT story is getting more interesting and I guess I am getting used to the characters and their... quirks 😁

Sorry to hear that you have been feeling so under the weather. Hope you recover swiftly, sending all the positive vibes!! Honestly can't blame you for that WoR re-read hahah, I also binged the entire Stormlight Archive again last month and just had the best time. Oathbringer is still my fave though lol. And now I am 80% into Wind and Truth and AAAAAH so many thoughts and feelings!! Hope December is treating you well, happy reading 🤩

Hope you feel better soon! I thought about reading the first book in the Reacher series since you were continuing it for the Thriller series. But I wasn't in the mood for Reacher, instead I chose Blake Crouch's "Dark Matter" and it was really good. Quick paced. I'm glad you enjoyed "Murder on the Orient Express" for the second time. 😄 The audiobook narrated by Dan Stevens was excellent! And like you, I will probably find myself highly distracted by Sanderson this month. I'm picking up Mistborn, while trying to finish the Skyward series. But I also need to make time for Ruocchio's Suneater series. So hopefully the December TBR will lend itself to reading a lot of Fantasy and Sci-Fi!
@libraryunbounded13 күн бұрын
Oh, Dark Matter is awesome! I still want to read more Crouch but, well... there's so many great authors 😅 Oh, so excited for your read of Mistborn! Love that series! And I head so many great things about the Suneater saga, I really need to get to it... And thank you, I already feel a bit better! :)

I hope you’re feeling better now that a few days have gone by! Also, what was the plot hole in WoR? You seem to get so much more out of the cosmere books than I do despite my having reread them so much.
@libraryunbounded15 күн бұрын
I do feel a bit better, thank you! ::) How are you? Okay, so SPOILER FOR WORDS OF RADIANCE BELOW: - - - - So, in the scene where Dalinar bonds the Stormfather at the end, he is asked by him to get rid of the Shardbalde he carries. But this was supposedly an Honorblade - the one he took from Taln and tricked Amaram with. And we know from Syl that those shouldn't offend spren. She calls the one carried by Szeth "a treasure". So why did Dalinar hear screaming when he touched it briefly? And why did the Stormfather hate it? Basically, I am wondering whether this is a plothole, or whether it's a clue that something happened with the other Blade. Like maybe Hoid stole it when he met him? If so, why? The more I think about it, the more I think it is actually the second option, be cause Elhokar remarks upon first seeing the "madman" that the Shardblade didn't disappear when dropped, so "he probably didn't have it for long". Anyway, I can't believe it took me so long to catch this. What do you think?
@rebeccareber220814 күн бұрын
@ Hi, and thanks for getting back to me! I’m doing great and just starting Wind and Truth today. SPOILERS FOR WORDS OF RADIANCE: - - - - - Wow! I did some rereading again of WOR, and I see your point! He’d already given Oathbringer to Sadeas by the time he bonds the Stormfather, right? I think I agree that Hoid must have switched out that blade beforehand, which then begs the question why. Has Hoid finally become so unhinged by his time with Dawnshards that he can no longer do things that help a world? I know Sigzil hates him in Sunlit Man, and himself talks about how the consequences of holding Dawnshards basically made any benefit from holding them not worth the price he’s had to pay, like being chased across the universe. I’m really impressed by how critically you read these books! I studied literature in college, but I find myself getting so caught up in plot and character development that I lose sight of seeing these books as anything but a really great story! I didn’t even realize that Azure and Zahel were not who they said they were, for example. I’d still love a spoiler video on how all the Cosmere books give clues to each other, but I know that’s a big ask. If you ever get bored……. Anyway, thanks again and I really enjoyed talking to you about this! Rebecca
