Ready Set, that is a great option for keeping good tires on the vehicle, I hope this process can be used on most of the on road vehicles. I have just purchased the Kyosho MKZ Toyota Skyline, hope this will work on this vehicle. Thanks for sharing, I will be using this method. 💯💯💯

@sparetimerc I love the process. I can't take credit though. All from Keith at Bulletproof RC.
I have a question that somebody may have already asked you. Why did you not get tarmac tyres? I’ve just ordered all this going with tarmac. I am new to this and wore the own tyres down in two packs. Loving your content man.
@ReadySetRC Жыл бұрын
@JaiGrieve Good question and welcome to the hobby. Two reasons to take the rally tires over the tarmac. The rally tires tend to wear slower than the tarmac. If you drive aggressive you will burn through them too but I've own the HPI rally's going back to the very first one they release with Ken Block, it came with the tarmac tires, I swapped to the rally after watching Jang's video and I've yet to wear those tires down. I suggest checking out his videos too. He doesn't do RC videos anymore but it is one of the best series on the HPI rally and these tires. Ultimate RC or URC is the channel. Second reason, I like going on and off road. The tarmac's are good off road but these are great. Also the trade off from running these on road is not much. You'll also find these tend to be the ones that are out of stock mostly since they are highly coveted.
Understood boss!! Weather has been crazy the past few weeks.

The WR8 has the same motor, esc, and driveline as the HPI Bullet. Which is a Monster Truck with larger wheels. So all should be fine! Sorry to chime in on your jam Neal, just wanted to help

It’ll help keep it planted. I’m running 1.9 beadlocks on mine and it keeps it from flipping over as easily. On 3S this car is ridiculous in stock form so a little extra weight helps.

THX for the links to those in my eyes amazing upgrades/mods! 🙏 And when it comes to the offset wheel hubs, which SSD Scale Wheel Bolts do I need additionally? Or don’t I need those SSD Scale Wheel Bolts at all? Sorry, I‘m very new to this „RC Game“, after over 30 years not driving RC cars at all! @JS-vh4yq Yeah they are a hard one to find. When HRP starts to get them back in that's the primary source. Amazon for the knock offs but eBay is going to be your friend mostly. Part # is HPI107870. Try this link but it won't last long. www.ebay.com/itm/204431967368?hash=item2f99184488:g:7N8AAOSw4FNkzvxx&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA4B5tPXb5umsFbAduI%2FX1nneaW0I7QZUyAdIM9wk3ss1HW9%2FL8NCvoYXQVJpTJMWvQVToIEr6xqMfzijY2jhF%2FBV8LYM62JJ5cz8gcwzYcbJ%2FhJlqrGr8ftBUA8Ix6%2Fvb30oVGtUo8eG8vvdvSC%2BqO1P12zGl0ZOyDpQg%2BoEbmHBsxB%2Bl96OHRgHOaTnp4aY9%2B06W%2FIGBVIFfnukEXXLJUMtIq4eXiszpk6cvlbmpVwd%2FBpb6vse5CuCe23xp2K0eX5P5f38npvklQWFJBYX2FCYVd%2FUm%2FrAURz6mJWwuIFKw%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR86AgJ7GYg

I felt this is a great mod and just assembled the first wheel using exactly the parts shown in the video. It seems the distance from the channel (where the tire is clamped) to the front face of the rim fits the tire perfectly on the inner/car-facing side, i.e., looking from the side the rubber is flush with the rim. On the opposite/external side that distance is bigger and the wheel is slightly sticking out, just as in your video. I'm happy with the way it looks but the wheel seems to be a few millimeters too narrow for the tire such that I can move the tire sideways either sticking out on the external or the car facing side. Not sure if this affects handling... I hope the explanation is clear - a bit difficult for a non-native speaker.
@ReadySetRC Жыл бұрын
@sumerland78 Perfectly explained👍 I will say does not impact performance. I did a running vid after the install, should be part of this playlist, performs just like the plastic wheels. I'm coming out with a shootout video with this and a few other rally's I've gotten since. In that video there is also an off road run, little short because the battery did not last but same characteristics as the off road run I did with the plastic wheels. That video coming soon.
@sumerland78 Жыл бұрын
@@ReadySetRC Thanks for sharing your experience! I saw the other video and it's good to hear that you did not notice any performance impact. Will finish the other wheels and make sure they hit the road soon! Btw, I am also going to do the same exercise on the Cen Puma (different beadlocks). Hopefully things will fit and the drivetrain is as robust as the HPI's...

Why don't you install the tires that came with wr8 h.f.h.v. Edition? They are much better suited for onroad use and don't wear out so quickly. Plus they perform awesome on any type of surface.
@ReadySetRC Жыл бұрын
@AsurasWrath164 I've been running this tread even on the Ken Block V1 and they have performed so well on and off road I've shelved the those tires. Plus with the availability this is a no brainer for me.
