Joolz1982 I’m going to let you if your not a JDM person or know much about JDM mechanics like myself, it’s a real unique car! Now changing oil, is changing oil but the parts are very expensive and keep in mind the area you live in. Having a good high performance shop that specializes in foreign vehicles, especially JDM is must have. I got lucky here in Florida. Also the back seat is not a back seat, if you know what I mean. Absolutely no room for legs, if they are small your good. However my son is 14, loves cars and doesn’t give a shit if he’s slammed in the backseat with his legs across the backseat.

@lpg123384 жыл бұрын
@Alex Outstanding job on your current and future earnings. Not trying to be a debbie downer, but buy a used Toyota "older model" and really look at investing, at your age the sky is the limit, time is your best investment tool. When you get a little older "30" you will thank yourself. Having zero money worries is a great feeling. As always, each to their own. 👍
@BrosFOURRSpeed4 жыл бұрын
Sounds like you are on a good track for a young age! Honestly it depends on maturity level, you can get into trouble with this car easily and having tickets at that age is not something you want. I have zero speeding tickets with this car and treat it well. But also on the other side, you don't want to put all of your money into an expensive car right off the bat. I bought a 370z, then a 370z nismo and then traded that for the GTR. I would start with a cheaper vehicle and build up your credit first. This would be a crazy huge loan for a first time buyer, so be financially smart in your purchases. Hope that advise helps!

So I'm going to be in the market for one of these in 2021 after parting with my Kia Sportage, how much is our insurance? How are these with being driven hard? How much is just regular maintenance like oil changes and the like? Are 2009s bad because that's the only year in my price range I'm torn between a GTR or a 2012 SRT8 Because I live in Maine and they hammer the roads with salt in the winter and I don't want to spend 20,000 and then it get rusted out
@BrosFOURRSpeed4 жыл бұрын
Here are a few videos going over insurance and maintenance cost. Seriously nothing out of the ordinary to ow. Insurance is cheap if you have a perfect record, high deductible, pay in full ect.. If this will be your only car, don't think I'd recommend it in that climate if you're concerned about salt on the roads. The AWD system is fantastic and snow tires would make it a beast! But any nice car will get beat up a bit. 2009s aren't bad. I've just heard that they don't hold up well with modifications. Maybe just stick with an exhaust and stage 1 tune. Honestly the GTR is a very reliable car. Pretty bullet proof and they don't really have issues. Like with any car, just make sure it has a good clean CarFax with no issues. And have a certified Nissan GTR dealer to a pre purchase inspection before you buy. That way they can read the computer and see if anything hidden is messed up.
@GokuInstinct13 жыл бұрын
dude if you got a job that doesn't pay well and the only way you can buy a car is by selling your stocks, don't make that financial mistake. Get a cheap reliable car and wait until your passive income can pay for your dream car one day. Otherwise keep investing in stocks, crypto, and real estate if you haven't already. Remember cars are depreciating "assets".

@BrosFOURRSpeed3 жыл бұрын
Turns out the OBD2 splitter I kept plugged in put a draw on the battery. But if a car sits for too long the battery can die because nothing is keeping the charge up. But now that I don't leave anything plugged into the OBD2 I havent had an issue. When I'm gone for a week I'll have the trickle charger on the car just to keep the battery life good

@BrosFOURRSpeed4 жыл бұрын
Depending on the shop, should be $150-$250. I'm sure Nissan would charge a ton tho!
@killabandit5 жыл бұрын
If it was under warranty, you would have to use the dealer or void it. They are strict on the GT-Rs that is why maintenance is a lot. Out of warranty, its a no brainer. Do it yourself. BTW, get yourself a new battery if it dies in 3 days. That is a weak/bad battery.
@BrosFOURRSpeed5 жыл бұрын
My car's been out of warranty for a while lol. I put a brand new battery in the car when I bought it. The 2 things in my OBD2 might be causing a draw.
@killabandit5 жыл бұрын
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Something else other than your normal stock stuff is killing your battery but it probably damaged it already since regular batteries aren't designed to go dead like that. You should buy a Optima or Odyssey battery if you plan to drain it like that to zero and charge it back up. My friends GT-R same year as yours can last weeks without the battery going dead when it sits.
