This is a video every young person should watch. Not to buy a GT-R, but to save money for your goals and stop wasting money on eating out and buying stupid things. I don’t eat out for lunch at work. I eat a protein bar every day. The people that eat out are wasting $5-10 every day. That adds up. And it’s smart to build your credit. You have to decide what’s important to you and be disciplined and then do it!

Takay, to each their own man. I agree but what these young guys are doing is: 1. Not practical for many 2. Horrible investment long term. I live in AZ and you can go down to Scottsdale, AZ and see guys this same age driving GT-Rs, M3, AMG Mercedes, 911s, etc. What you DON'T see is them living alone because they have 3 other roommates. What you don't see is them not being able to buy a house because they blew their load on a car (depreciating asset). What you DON'T see is them being able to retire at 55 instead of 65 because driving a flashy car around was more expensive when they were younger and a decision they will most likely regret when they get in their late 30s. What you DON'T see is the expressive repair/maintenance bills these guys are going to get after the vehicle hits the 60K mile mark. Again, they earn their money and they are able to do what they want with it but I wouldn't say they are doing anything remarkable.

@BrosFOURRSpeed5 жыл бұрын
@@Lando4534 I don't live with roommates, I can buy a house but I choose not to at the moment until I have kids, it doesn't make sense to do that. I am already planning for retirement as well, and maintenance on this vehicle is like any other car, even similar to the 370z which is a normal car. Just because it's an expensive car doesn't mean I'll go broke owning it and I can have fun with it. If you manage your money correctly and set a budget, you can afford the things you want and still be able to live comfortably and plan for other things as well. Buying an expensive car doesn't mean it's the end for things like retirement, etc. Also having a loan like this helps build credit even more to where buying a house will be so easy because this helped with credit. Lots of ways to look at it, but just because it's expensive doesn't mean I can't enjoy other things in life or plan for the future while owning the car.

Consider this. The GTR is a source of entertainment and joy for him so he doesn't need to spend money on a lot of things people buy. Movies, Alcohol etc. I don't know if you are enthusiasts or not, but you're looking at this from the mindset of a car being an appliance that people buy for status instead of looking at it from the enthusiasts viewpoint.

C V That is literally the worst advice to give anyone. This is coming from someone that lives in a paid off home and a nice car with small loan. Not everyone needs a home and not everyone wants a home. I would not have EVER bought a home if I knew what all goes into it. Buy the CAR if you want a car. Be smart with your income and YES listen to this kid. He is very bright and I use credit and financing the same way he does. Car do appreciate btw. Nah.. not really realistically. Say you make 25k a year, getting your foot into the real world at 21-24, you’ll make 2000$ a month, if you choose an apartment, 600-700$ for rent, around 1k for a loan, or less depending on your plan, still pricey for a GTR. Combine that with insurance, gas for low gas mileage. Groceries under 200$ on a minimalist budget. Then throw in any other utilities or living expenses. That person could not afford it even if they were to be employed, not at that salary which is becoming the new average.

You can put your money down on a car, and five years from now, it'll have depreciated to half it's value. Or.... if you can, invest in a small home, rent it out, and in five years, your down payment will have quadrupled! Rent a GT-R for a few days from Turo, to get your fix, but put your money into an investment!

Currently I own a '12 Infiniti G37, I still owe on it but I'm slated to also pay it off in the same 2.5 year timeframe (Hopefully by this month, July 2018). As much as I freaking LOVE GT-R's, I'll be buying a Tesla. I know, I know... Two different worlds, but its a car I plan to keep for the long run. Once that Tesla is paid off, my transportation will technically only cost me insurance every month! (No car note and no fuel, plus minimal maintenance! Electricity is cheap in my state.) I'm just grateful my parents taught me everything about credit. At 24 years old all my scores are in the 800 club and I have zero debt. The future is looking bright! Stay up guys, you can do it! It takes time!!

Bros FOURR Speed Thank you! We just need to keep our eye on the prize! I’ve never seen your videos before, but this popped up on the sidebar. I hit that sub button instantly. I’m glad I found you, I respect the grind and I hope you love the GT-R! (I tracked one in Vegas, that was an experience!) Take care!

you can also join the military. no need to worry about food or rent. Do your job, get $1750/month and save it. By the end of your contract you should have about around $60k, invest the money and with whatever skills you learned you’ll have a career earning 6 figures yearly with more assets on the side. i.e owning property and stocks and other valuable assets. That’s how I got my 2016 Aventador and 2018 R8, also having a 2015 Honda Accord to avoid any issues with my vehicles and save a lot of money on gas. As soon as you get married, you’ll ruin all of this if you’re younger than 27
@cesargutierrez75455 жыл бұрын
Also joining the military doesn’t mean you’re going to die. If you have that mindset, you’re not well educated on it. You’re more likely to die in a car accident involving DUI’s than joining any branch in the military

I really like this video. When I graduated college a year ago I finally bought one of my dream car which is a 370Z. I bought my car with cash after my 1996 Honda Accord with 255,000 miles on it finally died. I found a crazy deal on the Z ($8k for 2011 manual w/sport package) but my point is I used to have my Honda, I never ate out, I never spent money on anything at all except rent and food to cook (fish, chicken, rice, oatmeal). The point is live frugally and you can possibly get what you want.

Literally tell this to everyone, people spend money selfishly. Example SHOES!! 200+for shoes twice a month is stupidddd! I now have the same mentality as you! Hopefully next year I can get one for my own, saving and building my credit now

Glad you liked the video!! Share it with your friends to help spread this message! Anybody can do anything! I kept doing this, and now I have a Supra alongside the GTR. You can do anything is you plan for it!

I stumbled here by destiny. I hate how much I spend on food. I too want a GTR and I was thinking about just stopping my self from eating out. I’m about to experience my first month trying to not eat shit from the street. I am single, no kids and have a ‘11 CRZ and a ‘13 FRS for my weekend car. I’ll get to that GTR and have it on my channel! Thanks for the motivation!

Im similarly on that route. The military helps a lot with management and savings. I have an '09 base Z w/ sports pkg and nearly have it paid off with 5k+ in savings in just under a year. That mentality part plays a massive effect on budgeting.

Terminal Doc Very nice! Pay it off and give it a year, then you'll be in great shape for the ride if you're looking for something else.

This is exactly how I obtained my GTR. I started with a 2010 Versa , Juke, 2 370z's the second one being a 2015 Nismo, and finally the GTR. Great explanation on how to do this. This stuff should be taught in schools. Gotta crawl before you walk! Did all this in 4 years. Had to ignore a bunch of haters! lol

Just keep working towards all of your goals! I just bought a Lamborghini Gallardo. Spent 18 years dreaming of owing one and kept that as my goal. You're never too old to start budgeting and creating a plan to make things happen. You only live once. Start now and before you turn 60, make it your goal to achieve a dream of yours! You got it.

Nice car at a young age. I think its ok for this man to buy whatever he wants, as long as he knows what his priorities are. Always keep in mind you can always buy whatever car you want when you're rich. Always good to invest while you're young - opportunities comes and goes. Sometimes when you miss it, it's gone forever.

Good, modest video.. However I would strongly suggest people buy assets, then get the GTR. I have wanted one of these since I was 19 in 2009. I have more than enough invested, a place which I rent out, however I am still focusing on getting monthly cash flow and using that for my toys
@BrosFOURRSpeed4 жыл бұрын
That's a good point too, however for me, cars are a part of my business so they are investments for me that make money! Not everyone can do that, but you only live once, so enjoy it!

Loans are just there if you’re impatient in my opinion, you don’t save any more money with a loan, you can either work for 2 years and buy something with cash, or take out a loan and pay off that for 2 or more years.

So you buy depreciating liabilities with money you don't have to increase the amount of money you can spend that isn't yours? I am from Europe and I just have a really hard time understanding the credit system. I do however understand how alot of people are in way over their head in America right now. Here is how I was taught: Earn money going to a 9-5 job, realise this will never ever get you enough to buy the luxuries you want in your life. Start a small business, fail, repeat about 5x and finally learn enought to build a sustainable business that funds you and your children for the next 2 generations.
