Who will remember the freedom they had as a child when parents weren’t scared of every single living or inanimate thing may harm them, when you were free to learn about the world around you. I don’t think there is ever a pickup game on playgrounds that didn’t have parents organizing them these days. Love the fact there are still places that matches the place that I grew up in.
@giddygrub71763 жыл бұрын
If you let children have freedom and explore like that now you get done for neglect.
@ShalomShalom-d5c2 жыл бұрын
My parents gave us lots of room to be us; we traveled a lot too & learned cultures. Every kid should get to do that. So many people think the Russian people or French people are strange but they are the same as us in the US, they want the same things for their kids/families; its the Govts that are different. And the people are SO nice!!
@bean420man Жыл бұрын
I honestly think that this plays into why we have so many societal problems now. Kids grow up not knowing how to act, how to be independent, with depression and anxiety issues. Yes, kids need limits but they also need some freedom and need to learn about life on their own some.

Every coin has two sides, as does Palmerston, life on a small island can get very boring after you've seen everything (100 times) done everything (100 times) talked to everyone (100 times). It takes a special person to be able to endure that without getting "island happy"....I loved my time in the Pacific in many locations, and would not trade the experiences for a ton of gold, and I miss those places, as much as (or maybe more than) I wanted to get away from that life at the time. I wonder if they have enough plant life that could sustain a bee colony.

or if a hive would last a cyclone or two?

Perhaps they need to plant enough flowering plants and crops that would sustain a hive of bees first? A Flow hive would give them a sustainable source of honey. But then honey probably comes on the supply ship in plastic bottles and is probably adulterated with corn syrup to give the kids adult diabetes. No doubt they could probably grow other staples like corn itself or wheat IF they had the fresh water.

Thank you for taking your time to share your real-life outdoor adventure with MEeee. The kids' immune systems are probably all strong because they are playing in the dirt instead of playing games on their cell phones. This is one of the most enjoyable videos you've ever produced; seeing the old & the new in harmony. And a fish diet is far healthier than red meat.

I suppose at this point my response to your video notifications is downright Pavlovian. The coffee is brewing and you are all queued up for some viewing pleasure. Cheers... and thank you.

Hard to keep someone isolated when they have internet to see outside world. People always want what they don't have😦 we want to be there, they want to be here. Maybe we could do a trade. They would want to trade back I bet. Hello from Hamilron Alabama 😍

My thoughts exactly. It's a bit sad, but the grass always seems greener on the other side. The more connected the world gets, the more "other sides" we can see and the more we long for something we don't have, not appreciating what we do have. I don't think there is way around that.

With help from the NZ government... There is a push of funds to them and other south pacific islands because the Chinese government is making loans and paying for infrastructure and expanding their influence in the region.

So great ..as usual. So many "journalists" could learn from you too. The work you put into these videos is simply awesome. I know what it takes to do what you do, because I do it everyday too and have for 30 years, and I can tell you..you are very very good story tellers. I am like thousands of others, I always smile when I see the email that says Gone With the Wynns has just posted a video. Thank you both for understanding that "people stories" are so compelling and this one was fantastic..so fun to watch. Many people take viewers to places, very few know how to tell the stories of people's lives like you do!

Thank you Rich, that means so much to us. Like any labor of love, we invest far more time and effort than we probably should, but it's comments like these that keep pushing us to work hard and do our personal best with each adventure video we create. 🙏
