You are the most beautiful human being on Earth and you make me cry. I feel your spirit. I used to move. I took bike trips, got out in every type of nature, I loved being alive and learned to connect to the Force. I told my body to regrow my tonsils I had out 30 years before. A few years later they were back. I was told I'd be dead by Christmas, 2014. I said God (the Force in all) and medicine would save me. A year later they were astonished all my labs were normal again. I believe. I am in 7-9/10 level pain all the time from a lumbar fracture and 8 extruded disks I gave myself doing a moving job 3- 20 something year old moving men did on the way out but i had to do on the way into my desert ranch, and I wont take the extended release morphine or fentanyl that the pain specialist recommended because I need my brain not anesthetized and still functioning. I am 65 years old today, my birthday. I've been messed up for 13 years and I'm at a point where I have to do something to help me move or I don't know how long I can stand this. Somehow. Something must change.

Pick progressions of lower body exercises, both bi- and unilateral ones (so basically squat variations and lunge variations, though there's exceptions to this distinction like the pistol squat) and work them A LOT. by that I mean work up to at least 200 consecutive air squats, you should be able to warm up with that. Sounds daunting at first, isn't really, just do as many squats as you can. Pick a number and do them, don't bitch out before they're done. Your body will get used to high volume quickly and you'll be able to do a lot of work, which is what you need if your goal is what you see Roye doing.
@willlancer78314 жыл бұрын
Search for “Overcoming Gravity” on Amazon. It’s a bodyweight strength training book that will give you the strength to do these kinds of things. You can also search for GymnasticBodies on Google. They are a bodyweight strength training company with many programs to get to strong enough to do these. By the way, the man who started GymnasticBodies trained Ido Portal himself!

As opposed to fake lower body strength? Impressive although jumping is more a factor of power than overall strength
@natepage40724 жыл бұрын
This guy is absolutely demonstrating some impressive power but I think the point is that he has real functional strength that could be more practicaly used in a person's life vs being able to lift heavy weight for the sake of lifting heavy weight or having bigger muscles.
@legdayskipper36034 жыл бұрын
@@natepage4072 nah, beeing able to lift a lot is probably more usefull than jumping around like that.. He probably can't even Deadlift 150 kilos
@natepage40724 жыл бұрын
@@legdayskipper3603 This guy could definitely lift well over 150 kilos. Being able to jump around like that is more useful than being able to lift really heavy weight. Unless you're a competitive lifter or you play left tackle there's no reason to be able to lift much more than twice your bodyweight. Having a good vertical and being explosive is definitely more useful for just about everything else.
@AmazingZelgius4 жыл бұрын
@@natepage4072 I'm sick of people categorizing types of strengths as "real" as if others are faker or something. And saying it's more useful in everyday life doesn't make sense, it is very situation dependent. The vast majority of humans don't need to jump high and do tricks in the air, like the vast majority don't need to be able to squat 400kg. And if you wanna talk about heavy weights not being functional, I am almost 100% sure an olympic weightlifter has more vertical than him and as much flexibility. And a crossfitter has more all around functionality. Stop trying to say one way of training is superior, each has drawbacks and strong points.
@iliveinsideyourhouse39434 жыл бұрын
@@natepage4072 Depends on the environment where you supposed to use your strength. I lives in farm areas and always had to pick up some heavy stuff so I need a strong legs not an explosive legs that makes me jump likes a retard.

It’s more power than strenght. Power is about great force in short period of time like jump. Strenght is about maximal force produced like in squat and desdlift. You can’t test MAXIMAL strength with jumps. Whatever it’s still impressive
