As a dental assistant for over 6 years, I have to say thank you sooooo much for educating people and making dentistry cool!! I've always loved it. But we all know how much most people hate coming to see us and it can get so old hearing that from people every single day. We know. We don't like getting work done either. But the stuff you're making videos on, helps people understand what we are doing and how to better care for their teeth and it really makes a difference. I work with kids at a pediatric dental notice and I show them some of your videos and then they come back 6 months later for another cleaning and tell me they have kept watching you and other dental creators!!! A slower speed definitely matters. I have an area of my mouth that takes 5 or 6 shots to get numb. Even if I can feel a little pain, I tell my dentist to slow down with the drill, it really makes me feel more comfortable. The dentist, hygienists are also so nice, reception too. Bedside manner is absolutely important, and I love that. My dentist is great too, I ask for God to bless you both ❤️

Thank you for showing and explaining a tooth restoration. Our granddaughter, 10 yrs old, slipped on tile face first and cracked off part of her front tooth. Our dentist did a phenomenal job restoring her tooth so it looks very natural color and all. I've been worried for her going thru life with a disfiguring smile but our dentist explained that as she grows, he'll monitor the growth of her teeth and adjust as needed. So grateful.

Oh my god, I don't know if it's just me cause I can just feel the dentists drilling my teeth from the sound of the drill. When I was 8 I fell from my bed at night and broke my new teeth. Both of them, the dentist had to root cannel them. I also had 4 different cavaties in the 2nd tooth from each end and the dentist said that those were my permanent teeth but now they fell of and I have new teeth =w= ( It hurt a lot)

I, myself, am not entirely sure.... but you could always look it up, it’s usually more accurate seeming to when others respond, as they take it and change it, or they make up some ordinary answer. Hope this helped! Edit: But I might know, not sure if I’m correct. But I believe it’s either to prevent more cavities or anything that was originally there,. Or it’s too fill in that big gap where you’ve gotten it.

There are several types of so called white fillings. Its glassionomer, RmGI, compomer and composite. I don’t know which tooth you got your restoration on, that will effect which filling to put. So glassionomer contains acids reacting with ions, and when this happens the material hardens. This is pure hydrophilic material. RmGI stands for resin-modified glassionomer, and is very similar to glassionomer, except it contains monomers that will interchain and make polymers. Composites are pure hydrophobic, and consists of monomers that make up long chains, called polymers. Compomer is not that much used, but it is a mix of composite and glassionomer, but more like composite. I’ m a dental student by the way

Something like this happened to me. I was born without one of my canines, so the baby tooth had to stay in there for a very long time to help keep bone structure. I got an implant and I looked like a pirate for a while. I was missing a tooth, but I recently got my permanent crown. I’m soooo happy with the results. AND WHO CAN FORGET ALL THOSE YEARS WITH BRACES 😂

@@mermaidx9386 ofc! i had to have a mold taken of my teeth, then after that i had about 10 teeth pulled (if this is your case, here is my advice: as long as you stay ahead of the pain with the painkillers they give you and keep your open sockets clean, it’ll be a breeze. the worst part for me was having no solid food for a few days lol). i currently have partial dentures and they’re very comfortable, even tho they still need to be readjusted. is this the kind of thing you’re doing? either way, nerves are normal. but once you’re in that dental chair you’re THAT much closer to it being over & having a healthier smile! you just gotta go through it to get through it

@@mermaidx9386 🤍🤍 my advice is making sure you rinse with warm salt water (be very gentle at first so that you don’t affect your stitches) and make sure NOTHING gets stuck in the empty socket. i hear dry socket is extremely painful, so be really mindful of keeping the incision sites clean. you got this!
