TCS could have raised people's salaries, given them the project of their choice, and given them a proper upskilling program instead of wasting money on maintaining the offices. The moral of the story is that we should never ever join the MNCs that change stances so often. Always join startups, small-scaled or mid-scaled companies because you get more salary and more skill.

@@AiredTech I know, but they can increase the salary based upon the employees work performance...tell me the inflation is increasing day by day. You're increasing salary 4-5%. Company isn't going on loss...day by day the share price of the companies are also increasing. Prepaid plan rates increased upto 25%...The Govt should set the hierarchy and define a minimum compensation rule according to the designation.

Government has forced companies to call all their employees back to office otherwise they will cut all the tax exemptions on exports done by IT companies. Government says people who depend on IT employee's expenditure will suffer otherwise which is their voting bank. Government has only allowed wfh till december end 2023.

You are not talking about tax exemptions govt is giving on the earnings made by these companies on Software exports. Those tax exemptions were subject to exports made form the SEZ. Even the hardware IT assets got exemptions from the govt. These exemptions, tax holidays were subject to because this company is operating from so & so location. When company operates from a particular location that means it has a workforce helping the economy of nearby community. Now think from the govt perspective, if they are not getting back to what they are catering the companies, I am certain they must have started asking for tax holiday exemptions with those export units, thus making software exports expensive. Hence to maintain this cost effectiveness of the operations, all those big companies started asking their employees back to their offices.

No, never, only rating will be lower , resulting in lower hike , e.g. top performer will get 10% and poor performer will get 7% hike , so choice is your , how much life you wana give away for 3%
