Sam, I never sold a tool I didn't regret selling. I understand the situation is what it is but try to keep everything you can even if it means stacking it in a corner until you build the bigger shop. They are always more expensive to buy again then what you got for them when sold.

Even your pieces & parts collections. Just sort & "box up" everything in totes and be as organized as possible. Stack these totes in a corner if need be. Replacement is hugely more costly. But I'm sure you also have a bunch of junk. The same as all of us that have been living in the same place for a good while (or your life time). That stuff should be hauled off to recycle or dump. Sort your lumber items and get rid of small pieces. Just keep the good wood, & you no what I mean. Then go thru your tools. Anything that doesn't do its job or is broken get rid of it.

How can any of us hold it against anyone for wanting to make money? You do whatever you need to do to support yourselves and don’t worry about us. As far as your septic goes $8k isn't bad. We paid 2 1/2 times more than that when we had ours done 5 years ago. The one recommendation I would give is to over size it. If it's only designed for a 2 bedroom home up it to a 3 bedroom. There is more up front cost but you will save a lot over having to redo it in the future if it isn't big enough for 2 teenage boys taking 3 hour showers. And Angela, as far as a larger channel goes. It all depends on where you stand on the size of your channel. You're not Wranglerstar and you're not us. You're somewhere in between which is great regardless.

having the trailer moved during the winter would help with the placing on the property as the ground will be frozen and the wheels whon't pull as mush ruts in the ground , i just hope the road between youre current place and tenesee whont be too slippery , aspecially the uphill parts will have to wait untill spring to grade and install the septic tank / leachfield said it before and say it again : it might be cheaper to make the trailer fit the maximum size youre alowed to move without a permit and rebuild the eves ontoo roof after that

as you are going onto flat ground and the 500 year flood on the USA/Canada boarder we are currently watching on the news I would recommend putting the mobile home high enough to get the water to go under it if you have a 300 year flood - your local county will have on their records and flood measurements - also a hill of soil in the pasture so the stock can get up onto high ground - I think we have learnt over the last couple of years to expect the unexpected

We're living in our camper part time right now while we're working on our mobile. One thing I would recommend for winterizing your camper is run heat tape and insulation on your fresh water hose. And at night open your cabinet doors under your sinks. Also window cling plastic on windows. The condensation in our older campers are a big problem. Looks like we'll be doing most of our electrical rewire in our mobile. Can't find an electrician who isn't completely swamped with work. Luckily we have a great county inspector who came out yesterday and told us exactly what we need to do to pass inspection. We had planned on subbing that job out because of time restrictions. But add another thing we have to do to our very long list. I guess your as crazy as we are doing all this over the winter. It got down to 19 degrees overnight the other night in Ridgeway VA. Which is pretty rare for here. 🙏❤️ Oh well prayers for us all. We've had this conversation about other channels selling out, but Im on board as long as you give honest reviews of products. I'm glad your not asking for hand-outs, that shows your good character. Your hard workers and will work for what you want. Us too. Best of luck with everything, it's extremely stressful. On top of everything we have to also sell our home up north 12 hours away.

Great ideas!! We've been disconnecting our water supply line for the cold nights and running from the internal fresh water tank if needed in the middle of the night. You're completely right about those cabinets! We leave most of them cracked to keep them aired out and this is just another benefit! :) That's so awesome your inspector gave you a to do list! Pretty much the best case scenario minus having a professional handle it. We've got lows below 20 over the last few weeks -- we have to winterize the camper every time before we leave now. We have a process down pat that's working well so far (KNOCK ON WOOD). :) Despite some accusing us of begging, we really aren't. We only have the GoFundMe in place at the request of several viewers, and we don't mention it in our videos any. The primary intention of this video was to be an update on our to do list and to give people a heads up on why there may be some sponsored things in the future. :) Happy Thanksgiving on your new VA homestead!

I have a suggestion: Have you looked at a possibly house that needs to be moved because it is not needed where it is. It probably would not cost any more to have it moved then it would cost you to move your trailer. You could sell your trailer. You are good at repairing buildings so it will be no big deal for you.

We considered it, but it's not what we want to do. This option is the most economical way of moving to another property and getting as best of a home in the end as possible.

Here in Ohio you are allowed to hook up the electric power from your pole where your meter is to your house or mobile home. You just have to have it inspected before the power company will run the wires from the grid to your pole. I have done a few myself.
