As per usual the ATC speaks a lot faster that needed and required. Very fancy.

Thank you fr this video. so far I've been to 5 class d airports and my comms are getting better. what surprised me wasn't entering, maneuvers, departure comms, but taxiway comms lol. I frickin struggle with read backs for taxiing instructions, even writing it down. I've been bringing up the airport diagram and jotting down instructions, but its a struggle for me lol.

@@FurbyOfDeth at the time I didn't even know that was an option. My cfi acted like he wasn't even in the plane, just looked outside his window whenever I looked at him 🤣

How can anyone understand anything over that noise over the radio? I can't hear what they are talking clearly

I'm prepping to start my ppl journey...my home airport is KORL a D under the class B orlando airspace..i'm very intimidated already lol. Been listening to the tower and watching the ADS-B exchange. Majority of turns called by ATC and asking for 360's for spacing frequently
@Shmeeps_phd7 ай бұрын
Starting training at a towered airport will serve you well. It becomes second nature really quick for people at their home airport. I train out of a non-towered airport and generally do all of my pattern work at non-towered. I'm completely comfortable calling my own traffic and everything but calling ATC is still very unnatural for me. I've heard it's the opposite for people starting with a tower.

I honestly kinda wish I started in your position, it would be rougher starting out, but you would hear everything and maybe even start practicing from the beginning. How is your journey going?

Listen in on KPAO during a nice day on the weekend. ATC is so good there and it gets nuts.
