Delta's Airbus A330 can't retract landing gear after takeoff. REAL ATC

On October 2, 2024.
A Delta Air Lines Airbus A330-323 registration N819NW, performing flight DAL161 from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (EHAM) to Minneapolis/St Paul International Airport (KMSPA) after departure from pilots reported that they can't retract landing gear, leveled off at 6000 feet and requested delay vectors. Later the flight crew decided to return to Amsterdam.

They are calm, they know their aircraft and they are trained. And a LG that does not retract is not a major issue at that altitude.

"Delta 161, roger, just got informed by Tower". When i heard that, i thought, good, finally good communication between Tower and Departure. A second later something clicked in my brain and looked to see where this had happened. Of course it wasn't in the US. What was i thinking.

I'd much rather have this problem than the other way around, still not ideal.
