I have always thought Richard believed in three yrs he would be able to come back... I never read anything on this I just always felt he figured he would be able to take care of his personal business and come back... and hell would come with him when he did so.

I'm not sure if you have seen this yet, but our dear friends at Extra Credits have released a series on Suleiman, I have been tempted to see it, but given past events, how likely is it that it will be accurate and not a pile of more lies and pandering? If you ever get the time, I would dearly love to see either a correction of EC's work, or your own history-backed version of events.
