Thank you for being transparent in your teaching and bringing Jesus into the best teaching I have heard. Jesus gives us freedom and peace. You have found what you were made for, thank you for responding to your creators calling. These messages build humanity and hope.

2:21 - #1 mistake: drug use is problem and quitting will “fix” it 2:39 - #2 mistake: make your mind up to quit and it will be easy after 2:48 - mistake #3 you think recovery is just one thing 3 r’s (roots, relationships, responsibilities) 3:41 - mistake #4 You think you’re cured after treatment, you expect immediate results magical solution, think you can do it alone 4:29 mistake #5 romantic relationship too soon 8:43 Another mistake: guilty or ashamed you’re struggling We all feel craving, we don’t have to feed it. Difference between feeling temptation vs giving in. 10:20 Another mistake: Over committing. Too many commitments leads to burnout, and then relapse. 11:42 addiction was all about “me,” to caring for others and self in balance. Problem is going 110% and burning out helping others. 12:50 - Next mistake: Obsessing about the future. Stop focusing on self “now” which leads to relapse. 15:02 - Recovery is “hard work.” Perspective can change from excited to negative. Brain preparing secretly for relapse. Back away and see a bigger picture. Don’t lock in the difficult week. Yeah it’s hard but the benefits in the long run are so much better. 17:09 - #14 Not developing a consistent healthy routine. “I’m going to sleep in today.” I’m just gonna wake up when I want. 1:00pm, watching movies up all night. Starts feeling like addiction, going back to an unstructured world. Making addiction easier to slide back into. 20:26 Routine is absolutely essential. It’s a part of being “healthy,” when you’re not healthy it’s easier to choose relapse to make up. 21:47 #15 getting kids back too soon (I’m not a parent)

Is there a workbook or book with this information? The online courses are too expensive for me.

Not sure, but I just watch the zillion free videos on KZbin and that’s a good, cheap option. Best of luck.

They do.a version of the Online Lift program that's a self study course, that could be cheaper? It's too expensive for me too at the moment but living in this dysfunction is why I'm poor in the first place 😅 I'm reassessing my budgets and outgoings, reprioritizing what im spending money on so I can save up for it. I really do need to change and its too important to avoid now. Nothing I could spend money on in the short term is worth this unhappiness. Hope you get there friend 💗

@@nevadatan7323 Thanks, I get what you mean. Finances can be tough to sort out. I hope you manage well and yeah wish it was cheaper and hope the course is worth it. I'll be considering it too down the road but a workbook would help us that can't afford the course.

I started watching his free videos on YT and working on myself 3- 4 months ago. One day at a time but worth every minute. I see the improvements in every aspect of my life. Good luck with your recovery.

No matter how much you are conscious about that nothing good can come out of comparing yourself with others is that everyone does it too. It's subconscious in most people. You need to stop to notice what you are doing is unfair and unrealistic because everyone has a different background and experiences, genetics, and so on. Anyway, comparison is always terrible but our societies are based on competition. Lots of attention is needed to not compare others or yourself with others.
