@@huzumnicolas4343 If you compare Romania though, to like the rest of the world, I would say without any remorse that Romania is a heaven even if it's amongst the worst countries in the European union (just as a reference, compare one of the worst european union countries to one of the worst asian countries, and you will see what i'm talking about). Also keep in mind in the past 4 years specifically, Romania rocketed up with the economy and is reaching out to a lot of countries, average salaries are close to doubling out and it's still growing. I'd say, right now, Romania is a country you really wanna live in for the long term. 10 years ago it was completely garbage, justifies the fact that Romania has got one of the most amount of emigrants if we count that the population is only about 20 million people, but now it's really getting better. I can predict that in the next 10 years, a lot of people will come back in their homeland and live there, it's finally developing and recovering, quite fast as well!.

Many of those “stats” on Russia are based on prejudice rather than reality, as well as inadequate data presentation. 1. Russia has almost 90 federal subjects, most of which are as safe as any other part of Europe. In 2017, Moscow had 2.5 homicides per 100k (compare to 3.5 in New York City and 1.7 in Paris), but a few small indigenous republics where people abuse alcohol skew the stats, such as Tyva in southern Siberia with its 25 per 100k). The overall for Russia is still not that bad, 6 per 100k and keeps going down. It looks like he used the stats from 10-20 years ago. 2. When it comes to corruption, it’s bad, but Ukraine is way more corrupt by all accounts, so he got it wrong. 3. Russia is a high-income country, and nobody is paid minimum wage. It’s solely used to calculate fines and some fees. That’s why it’s so low, haha (yes, fines are very low in Russia, which is wrong). When you read laws, the penalties are typically expressed as N minimum wages. 4. As a gay man who has lived in Russia most of my life (being openly gay), I can confirm that most people don’t care about your sexuality, and major cities have vibrant gay life, night clubs, etc (unless you live in Chechnya). It became worse after 2013, but still not that bad. You most certainly can’t compare Russia to Afghanistan. It’s a ridiculous comparison with no base in reality. In fact, the Polish society and laws are way more conservative and homophobic. 5. Didn’t you say Finland had the highest suicide rate? I’m confused.

8:05 about Switzerland, the problem with owning a home is that you have to pay property tax on your home and because it is so expensive, it is easier to just take a loan on a house with 20% paid up front. Then you just have to pay interest on the 20%, because you don’t own the house, the bank does. And because most people in Switzerland trust their banks it’s not really a problem.

About Portugal, the dropout from high-school is largely due to the dictatorship that ended in 1974. During dictatorship years, Portugal was a LOT poorer, so my paternal grandparents, for example, had to dropout school to help put food on the table, at age 9! My maternal granparents, however, lived in the big city, so they continued their education and got good jobs. My paternal grandparents tough, because they had not secondary education, had to work in Toyotta factories (at least they won a free car in a contest lol). Sure there is still is dropouts nowadays, but the old people that had to work in their childhood sure bring the percentage down too...
