You think the Genesis version of Pit-Fighter is bad? Take a look at the SNES version. The SNES version is EVEN WORSE. I wouldn't call it bullshit per say, but he is out of touch with the current trend, he loves putting a gimmick into his games, and there are some games he was involved with that the developers had to fix all the changes he made because they were poor decisions on his part, I respect Shigeru, but he has got to stop with the gimmicks, and E3 2006 with Wii Music was cringy as hell :P I respect him because without him, video games may not have been a thing today

As a computer game, Tongue of the Fatman was actually kind of fun, and had a somewhat better implementation of the betting and weapons system. Even at the time it was a bit primitive in the actual fighting system though, so it's an odd choice for a console port. We do take a lot of the progress post- SFII for granted though, as back then the basics were still being figured out.

The "poles" that kept hitting you on the 4th and final level in the train, are actually poles that had a length of wood over the train, well just to the side of it. Back in those days, they used to fill a bag full of mail and hang it out the window, and the bag would grab on the hook and local post offices would ride out and get them. It's even in the cartoon movie, "Fievel Goes West".

We need bad games! Why? Simple: If these games never were made. Other almost as bad games would be the worse kind, and we would say the same thing about them: Wish they never were made. Then the games almost as bad as them would be the worst kind... and so on and so forth... In the end we would only have Games. Not bad games, nor good games. Just... Games. Nothing more. Bland grey and kinda boring. Nothing new. They're all the same. TL;DR -version: We need bad games so the good games can be just that: Good.

I have to disagree with you guys on Darkwing Duck & Nightmare Circus, I own both physical copies.Darkwing Duck is a bad game, but not as bad as you guys make it out to be. You have to hold down when you want to jump over enemies, you have to stop moving the character as soon as you jump on a platform. It really isn't that hard at all and I beat the game in both Easy and Normal within an hour. You can shoot the boss and they can still lose health.Nightmare Circus is a very cryptic game, you keep on pressing the same damn button over and over again. Idk if you're trying to be funny but that it just downright annoying. The roar is used for finish the boss and take its ability. You can climb the ladder, you press up, it's not that hard. Press down and do the rear kick on the cannon. Avoid engaging the zombies as much as possible, use the spin kick twice to beat them. As for the stage where you see the two dolls, you don't fight them, you have to break down the wall by doing a spinning elbow attack and it gets monotonous.

As someone who completed back to the future part III several times (I was a very bored and deprived child), on the train level you have to pick up the coloured blocks i the order they are up the top of the screen.

A friend lent me that game when I originally got an Xbox 360. I couldn't even figure out how to get to the first stage, I was just stuck in the town and I started feeling really queasy. I never played it again. from what I hear, I got off easy!

Graphics don't make a game good. The developers put all of their effort in that area. This one did indeed have some shoddy controls that had lag, horrible jumping and can be beaten easily with one button. I don't think the game would get thrown under the bus as often as it does if there weren't some merit to the complaints.

Another fantastic episode, guys. I love how much deeper you go with this. Instead of picking out some easy targets, you found presented some deep cuts that I didn't even know existed. One of my worst experiences was the Tengen Road Runer game. I was young enough to blame myself for not making any progress. Nightmare Circus...absolutely fascinating. Did the Sega Channel do that kind of thing often, meaning try out games before they've been released/ completed development? Thanks again, guys

I swear, Pit fighter gets more heat then it deserves. I played the arcade AND Mega Drive versions as a kid. Though not 'amazing', it can hardly be put on a worst games of all time, unless it is being played retrospectively. At the time, it wasn't all that bad.

It looks like Impossamole blatantly ripped off the Indiana Jones text font

Years ago, I owned Shaq-Fu on SNES and Sega Genesis. Now I regret buying them.

I heard that Lord of the Rings on SNES ends with Frodo being taken away by Ring Wraiths. I wouldn't know for certain, sonce I've only played it for, maybe, half an hour total.

I remember seeing a whole guide for Mondu's Fight Palace in a magazine when I was younger but then I never player played it and totally forgot about it. I guess it's a good thing...

Ah, the buzzing fart of a poorly-programmed GEMS soundtrack, how I don't love you.

Pit Fighter was actually a fun game to play with a friend. I remember it was hard to find this cartridge available to rent because it was so popular where I live.

Omg ending hilarious! Best comeback ever. Lesson learned, no washing hands when being chased by murderous ghosts lol.

You're probably right. At least with Shaq-Fu you don't have to play it for more than an hour.

On the train level in BttF part 3, you need to pick them up in order, starting with black. The problem is that that roof that rod is on is also colored black, and it blends in so well that you probably walked right past it.

I remember owning a copy of that Waynes world game when I was around 10 years old. That would have been 20 years ago and I waa innocent of the fact that games can be broken. I persisted and beat the first stage in a few hours but sensed it would be madness to continue putting up with the frustration for untold many more levels.
