You and Aaron both built me up. I lost weight, built a wardrobe, gained many good habits, self confidence and more… but I just ended it with my ex and we live together. It will probably be at least a few months before that ends. I actually would like to keep her as a friend. She’s a nice girl. I’d love advice on how to live with your ex.

Try to speed up the process of moving out. It will be better for you both. If you have to live together for a while, just separate your lives as much as possible. I'm talking separate rooms, bathrooms, cabinets, drawers and fridge compartments and a schedule for weekends alone in the house. It's like quitting smoking, starting a diet or having an exercise routine, you'll need to commit in order for it to work. Especially in the first months or even years.

Hi, Antonio. Of those I have seen, linen trousers / shirts tend to look a little "crunched" with many creases. I've also heard from family that they're difficult to iron without getting a big distinct crease. I speculate this is either caused by folding when stored away or quality. Sorry for the long paragraph, just looking for advice from one of the most stylish men on the planet. 👑

I got Reynaud's Syndrome. I get by just fine with thick socks in the summer. Extra cushion, and I don't like the look of bare feet in shoes anyway, so I guess it just worked out for me. Reminds me of playing baseball on hot summer days.

What kind of no-show socks do you recommend Antonio or anybody?
@karlr7502 жыл бұрын
It's going to depend on your foot, because most no-show socks cover a range of sizes (e.g. men's 5-10, or men's 8-13, etc.). You want to choose a pair that's snug on your foot, so they don't slide down. Since I have a size 10 foot, I want a pair that's meant for men's 5-10, which will fit snugly. I should avoid the pair that's men's 8-13, even though it technically fits, since it will be looser and more likely to slide down.

I've got the light-weight very low cut for loafer style shoes. Make sure these have the silicone bands on the sides so they don't drop off your heel. For my slightly higher shoes like some sneakers I have the ankle socks that are made out of ordinary sock material. They work better and aline with the shoe so they're not to barely visible.

Some are good, some are bullshit. A dive watch? Really? Why? a backpack? To put what in it? A charger? An out of style hat and leather shoes? Another layer of skin to get hot in? Really? Useless.
@SimoneMX9502 жыл бұрын
It depends on your personal taste, but I suggest you to try them and then decide, rather than reject them regardless. As an example, I was very skeptical about those "outdated" summer hats, but I tried a Panama hat once and not only I felt very comfortable in it, since its open weave is breathable and lightweight and the wide brim keeps my eyes and face out of direct sunlight, but also I got a lot of compliments for the look, then I decided to buy one myself and use it quite often. Don't get influenced by those "fedora guy" memes, being afraid of looking like a neckbeard guy or something like that. I don't know why old style hats get all this hatred nowadays but I think that memes play a role in it... I also hated linen garments because they're prone to wrinkling, but after I tried a linen combo (linen shirt and linen-cotton blend trousers) I immediately changed my idea. Moreover, I can agree with you talking about some types of leather shoes, but take a look at suede leather desert boots. Casual but sharp looking, lightweight and unlined construction... They're a natural fit for hot weather. I use them quite regularly and I feel better wearing them rather than those "breathable" sneakers. So yeah, if you had a try and didn't like the look I can understand, simple difference of tastes and opinions, but otherwise I suggest you to have a go first. But yeah, I understand you about dive watches (redundant) and backpacks (redundant as well and not stylish, unless you're involved in road trips when you have to carry a lot of things with you).
@Amiiiinnzzz2 жыл бұрын
to put it simply,most of the stuff is not for everybody. The hat was an exaggeration on my side I admit ,and it might work if worn right,but for most people it wont work, and thats why I said its bullshit. but the other stuff,I stand my ground.btw I didn’t say anything about the linen garments.Thats something most people can appreciate.
@SimoneMX9502 жыл бұрын
@@Amiiiinnzzz actually I said that about linen garments to bring a personal example of being against something without trying it first, then try and change my mind about it. The fact is that, as you rightly said, you have to choose a "dress code" first, and then dress accordingly. So if you wear a semi-formal Fedora with cargo pants and a graphic t-shirt hoping that it can elevate your outfit, you just look awkward and lacking self-awareness. A Panama hat is more casual so it can be pulled off with some good selected casual clothing.
@karlr7502 жыл бұрын
Personal tastes differ, but most of those suggestions make a great deal of sense.... Dive watch: A wristwatch is one of the few pieces of jewelry men wear, and it has the ability to dress up almost any outfit. If someone is just buying one watch (rather than a small collection), then a dive watch has the best versatility (ultra-casual through business professional). Since it's waterproof, it can also be worn during summer activities (e.g. beach, pool). Hat: Protects the eyes, face, neck, and particularly scalp (for men who are balding) from damaging UV rays. If someone chooses an out-of-style hat, rather than one that suits them, that's their choice. Backpack: Easy way to carry a water bottle (for hydration), towels (to the beach or pool), a glasses case (so I can switch between my regular glasses and shades), a change of shirts (if I get too sweaty)… I'm certainly not carrying a backpack everywhere, but I will carry one some of the time. I've even been known to carry a portable charger and cable in my backpack. Leather shoes: I'll wear them on days when canvas/fabric shoes wouldn't be dressy enough (e.g. at work). I'll also wear them when it's rainy, since leather is much better at repelling water, and they're much easier to clean mud off of.
@YakubibnEsau2 жыл бұрын
If you get a hat, go with a really nice hat, and not something you picked up at Walmart or Target. A lot of hats look bad because they’re cheap. Hats are great keeping the sun out of your eyes.
