I know there's already organisations out there working to raise awareness but if they could somehow find a way to advertise more in places women go alit ,like public bathrooms. What a blimmin robot that cop was, just ticking the boxes with her monotone voice and long silences, but to hear in the end she didn't even stick to the police word and investigate... did she even write any notes..?!?!? I bloody hope she got fired! Anyone know her name, I want to know more... 🤔 Rip BANAZ 💜✌ *This is the second video b2b I've watched about authority being slack and not doing their job to even minimum standard on the very first meeting of the person concerned and therefore results in death.. 1 time is two many when it comes to professionals slipping up. Ugh it makes my blood boil. Just sickening that the majority of the time when a person finds the strength to reach out to the police for help, whether how minor or major the situation is and whether its going to highly affect a person and get dismissed, and then they don't go back for the help ever again like they originally thought they could so easily but it becomes more humiliating being belittled from the ones who serve and protect.. 😕 From my own experience, I know the police are lazy, slack and willing to leave people in danger and with the feeling I have from the trauma, I will not put myself through that again, to be told to come back....okaaay umm so when lady, after the house has caught fire or when I'm home from hospital after the knife has already gone through the door and into my skull... @Christina Reynolds The situations are not even remotely the same. Honor killings do not happen to people who are from the western world (when I say from, I mean originally from). Families in the west (with the exception of some recent immigrants from the East) do not kill their daughters if they disagree with their choices. For you to try to suggest that's the case is very disingenuous
@isaiah52174 жыл бұрын
Christina Reynolds So England would be the place to freely practice anti-secular tribalism? Extemism is an issue, one that shouldnt be oversimplified. However, refugee status is granted based on religious/ethnic persecution, which stems from imperial coups, sanctions, and war. And they don't just let anybody in.

This is one of the most heartbreaking parts of this case, if not the most. The fact that most girls are not brave enough to speak up or feel like they can't and are to afraid. Yet Banaz was brave and spoke up and still got ignored. She didn't just go once, even after nothing being done once she still had the bravery to keep going until it was too late. It's just heartbreaking. I am someone who is interested in true crime and watch a lot of videos, but this topic is something that really affects me, how not only can a parent do this to their baby girl, but how police can fail a beautiful young women on so many occasions. She was terrified by her family and she must have been absolutely even more terrified at the fact she wasn't being believed. The police are a massive part to play in the fact she ended up murdered. There is a lot of cases involving murder which can't be prevented but this is a case where genuinely this could have been avoided. She was a young women who was terrified of her family and they even questioned that, its honestly the most unbelievable thing you can imagine. All honor killing stories are horrific, but Banaz's is just definitely the most heartbreaking because she spoke up so many times. She was a very brave and beautiful girl who deserved so much better.

I know... would have helped create her sense of Learned Helplessness. ...Her sister got away after the attempt on her life. ...Banaz believed she could not get away. And I wonder if that was because she was abused so badly in the arranged marriage she had; and that it broke her spirit. What a pity she did not run away and go into hiding like her sister. And even somehow got into contact with her. Maybe her, her sister and her boyfriend could have all changed their names and moved to New Zealand or something. ...Poor Banaz, I felt such deep sorrow for her. I hope that her Soul is at peace and that she and her boyfriend are together (supposedly he died) and that she finds joy, healing and happiness. Hope her and her boyfriend have a new life together where they have a family and live happily ever after.💞

I was threatened by my ex bf.. he put a knife to my neck when drunk and I took the blade in my arm protecting my face. He went to jail one night, out he next day and told I didn't have enough evidence against him and that I could've done the harm to myself. This happened in Belgium. I took my children and left him. He began following me on the streets, calling my children's schools and had them investigate me instead to try and take my children away.. I had pictures of him following me at different times of the day and took it to police and they told me I couldn't do anything. They wouldn't even provide me a written statement to take to my embassy for help.. I'm glad me and my children are safe now. It hurts my heart to know this poor young woman wasn't so fortunate 💔😪

not all middle eastern dads kills their daughters . best case senario would be disowning their daughters . yeah ... it sucks 😏
@crowarctia4 жыл бұрын
Houyeme Nouali, well some families in middle east don’t follow the Shariah law which is good but majority do which is just awful. We stayed in Middle East(Abu Dhabi/Dubai) for a year, some decent Arab families just let their kids do whatever they like, like exploring other religions, having to choose their own bf/gf, etc... while also making sure they’re not getting involved with bad people. Some families are just so bad that the father would beat his wife, children, etc... a family at the same floor we live in is actually a good one, but the one flat in the building got reported I think. Someone complained of shouting and stuff and I guess they contacted police? Anyways, I kinda envy good families that love and protect each other while giving each other freedom since I came from a traditional asian family myself. Like, the type of family that would belittle you and call you disrespectful when you try to defend yourself, and would verbally abuse you when people start noticing you’re showing symptoms of mental illness.

@@crowarctia yes i'm aware of the varieties im the arab world since i live in tunisia my self . and i can somehow relate to you because my family is pretty traditional amd strict . @crowarctia4 жыл бұрын
Houyeme Nouali, yeah it’s kinda sad that sometimes friends are more like family than your family. My family would just yell at me when I try to open up to them about problems so I talk to friends instead. I’m also losing motivation in school because no matter what I do, they’re still not enough for them. It’s like if I make a small mistake all the things I did for them fades away. It’s kinda funny tbh, it’s kinda funny how they’d just refuse medical help from our school after I got sent to the clinic multiple times because of panic attacks too and then blame me. Then they’d threaten to hurt me and my brother, they used to beat us when we were kids too just like any normal traditional asian family. Idk if it’s normal or not. I thought it was normal to fear your own family.
@houyemenouali30964 жыл бұрын
@@crowarctia i was taught to fear my family but as i grew out of my teenagehood i've realised that it isn't right . My good / bad school results are for me to focus on . I don't study to inpress them , i do it for myself . Bcause , as you said , no matter how good my results they'll never be truelly impressed . I've came to the conclusion that i'll work hard for the carrer , honor and self appreciation that I want and never for them . I've realised that i should live my life mainly for my self . they kind of understand me ( the carrer that i want ) and i feel that once i reach my goals and become independant they'll have to accept that i way differant than what they've had in mind . I've decided to completly shut them out of my mental concerns about 6 years ago ( they kinda regret it now ) but no . i'm not opening up to them cuz they'll shame me or misunderstand me . please try to seek help through freinds or even online , your mental health matters . as for school , trust me , you study only for yourself, not to impress anyone . @@timeabiro3878 bingo. But murder is murder anywhere in the world and should be looked into thoroughly. In this case, what I got out of it was that she sort of wanted to protect her family. Don't ask me why as I am not the girl in this video, but then anyone would start to question why ? Why not expose all of them and ask the police or the proper authorities to do an investigation ? And if the location is correct. Iran I believe it was, what laws do Iran have that would prohibit an investigation from taking place ? And what anyone can and ought to draw from this case, is that are forced marriages a thing in that region of the world ? Because I find that to be as bizzare as the sacrifices I was reading of in the Holy Bible. And essentially what made her such a target ? What position or status or authority in that society did she hold ?

It's easy to blame others but truth is she didnt help herself. 1145 - she says she left and went back to that same partner/family because of her culture and religion (police cant force her to not go back) Police wouldve offered her refuge many time but I guarantee you she refused. I can guarantee you she also refused to provide statements to support a rape or assault case. As sad as it is with the victims help the authority cannot do anything legally. Yes it sounds really bad what they did to her but reality is theres nothing police can do without the support of the victim
@Yaqiki19874 жыл бұрын
At 19:19 of the video when they mention she gave a statement it clearly reads her also stating on he statement she doesnt want police to do anything rather she just wants to report it. It further states she doesnt want to leave her partner and go to a place of safety which leaves her at high risk. These are the reasons the authority your blaming couldn't do much for her. Mate I work in this field it's hard when victims come for help but then they retract the statements and help they ask for because they dont want reprocausins or want to leave their home etc
