Hi Andrew, I just swapped my factory rear sway bar today with an adjustable Super Pro sway bar and I can confirm that your factory sway bar is NOT installed in the Skoda Octavia RS 245. The factory unit in that vehicle is 5Q0 511 305 BM. So, your theory about the 40 Years GTIs is probably spot on.

I went with an APR rear sway bar, but the biggest and best change for chassis mods I've done so far is the Eurocode front strut bar. It improved everything, steering feel, handling, traction, etc. I love it.

thats very intresting! i was going to go for a white line rear sawy bar on my gti 7.5 5 door...but now u got me thinking about a front strut bar.

@@kwa_nguyen I reccomend the eurocode strut bar first. Rear sway makes a difference in handling but it's more subtle. The front strut reinforcement made a night and day difference in the feel of the car.

@@TheFlyingPLiner Okay, but you dont own a Clubsport GTI right? Or..? Coz like he said: the bar in this video at least didnt seem to make any differance on the CS. As im Clubsport owner myself. Not sure if its a front or rear bar on this vid though.

@3DFX I'm not sure I'm following your point. Clubsport or not the rear sway bar is a very mild upgrade in my experience. The front strut bar greatly increased handling while also improving steering feel. Imo the rear bar isn't the best bang for your buck especially if you don't change out the end links at the same time.

I think you should have gone for 24mm solid H&R sway bar at the rear. This would have made more of a difference from the 21.7 stock tubular one on the Clubsport. And then balance it out with a 26mm solid one at the front. I believe this works much better.

That’s exactly what I have now

Hi. Only information for others. My Golf 7 GTI 2015 with DCC, without performance pack, use the same Sway bar as showed in this video.

Maybe look at Isweep undercarriage brace bars they might have what you’re after !

i've read that the CS's with DCC will have the same sway bar as the CSS

Yeah that would make sense.

if you're replacing them why only go slightly over stock diameters? H & R makes a set of 26 mm sport rear sway bars.

I assumed as the Whiteline was solid that it would be significantly stiffer. I was wrong.

Did you tighten the sway bar bolts with the rear end up on jacks. Or with car on the ground. Sway bars should always be tightened with “loaded” tension

I honestly can't remember now. I'm running a different bar now installed by a shop when I had the Bilsteins put in.

Andrew you got me curious so I checked my Clubsport and it too has the same CS S sway bar as yours.
