Such a shame some 'denominations' have rejected the ministry of deliverance - a prime example of 'sweet speak' with trigger words. What a travesty of 'faith' in the Name of a HOLY GOD. A disconnect that appeases verbally and ensnare souls. HE came and taught to set free from the bondages of sin. It is tragic! My motto is compassion without compromise of THE WORD.

I think it is natural and healthy when men lead. When men lead they can speak to the hearts of othercmen and the church gets filled again with men. As a woman i do not care if a man is preaching to me or a woman. But for men it is important to have other men leading. And what else should woman want that the church is again filled with men - so chr

I’ve been fascinated a lot by the progressive Christianity of the early 20th century and how fundamentalists and TradCaths could simultaneously be progressives and socialists with totally orthodox theology. That mode of thinking has totally dissolved tho and Christianity isn’t much better being entirely along partisan lines that are prone to personality cults and false assumptions

When she quotes Jesus it's the "solid rock" part only meaning just as Jesus talked about a firm foundation for faith our nation needs a firm foundation of unity.

@@barelyprotestant5365 It's not eisegesis. It's an analogy. It's two different subjects one being the foundation of unity within a country and the other is Jesus as the foundation of the Christian faith. Both areas, one political and the other theological require a foundation.

@justchilling704 Your qualifier is one that can only be applied to human beings, not actions. What did you mean to say, then? There are 2000 years of "sound exegesis" on the side of the traditional view. Some of the Early Fathers wrote fiercely against women presiding at the Lord's Supper centuries before there was agreement on how many sacraments there are. Would you claim that they were wrong then, or that the Church should make a change now?
