I have a 2017 Rogue. I laugh when people complain about the speed. For those that do - do you live in the west with low traffic issues? Do you ignore speed limits? If so buy a mclaren for 300k. I like my gas mileage and for work I am out in snowstorms on unplowed roads at 4 am. It churns through snow as good as my old Jeep. When I need excitement I ride a motorcycle or drive my 59 Apache....

My wife has a 2017 Rogue and we made 2 cross country trips in it, knocking back 34 MPG in the process. My Sentra made it to 200K without the first hint of transmission trouble. I think people are scared of the CVT for no reason. Just change the fluid every 40K miles and don't try to race it.
@natewood81245 жыл бұрын
Dont race it or abuse the car, cvt's aren't made for it. Thats one reason the rogues engine is only 175hp as well. I have a 13 and 175k with no issues.

Nissan does make a quick vehicle but it's called GTR and not Rogue. Shoppers in this segment are looking for MPG, and value not 0-60 times. I have never owned a vehicle nor seen a vehicle that was absolutely trouble or complaint free. My wife drives a 2016 Pathfinder and I drive a 2017 Rogue both bought brand new. So far we have not experienced any issues! My desire to race red light to red light was fulfilled by my 300S which I traded down (fully loaded luxury AWD) for the Rogue. My decision was based on comparing vehicles in this segment and not a blind choice. Cost of ownership, MPG and comfort for my 6'5 height played a part since I commute 1200+ miles a month for just work. I will return when and if we experience any issues and update this if needed.

People forget that just because it's a CVT doesn't mean that it's the same CVT from 10 years ago. Everyone complains about CVT transmissions, no one realizes that this technology has been around for more than 20 years and that it gets rebuilt periodically.

On my second Rogue lease now. It’s a decent car for city and everyday activities. Yes CVT gives up often, ours did at 15000 but they swapped the whole thing in few hours and gave it back as new. So nissan’s warranty isn’t bad after all. Highway mpg is outstanding for vehicle of this size.

I purchased the 2018 Rogue SV and it’s fine, I’ve owned three other Nissan cars and have had less problems than the GM and Chrysler and Ford cars live owned in the past. Seems like a lot of people hate just about anything. Sorry I did own a 1990 Mazda 626 which was the best car I’ve ever had.

Trying to understand. What part of “We do not like or want CVT transmissions!” do these manufacturers fail to comprehend? TBH, it could go zero to 60 in one second, get a million mpg, drive itself, or even fly. If there is a CVT in it, I do not like it, do not want it, and will not spend my money on it.

I know the 2017 crv touring is not a sports car. But with the vtec and the turbo, not to mention the grill shutters making super slippery engaging the dport mode on this trim should motivate 0-60 times in the7. 0second range or less. Car wnd driver record the2017 crv hitting 0-60 in7. 5 seconds, but I dm sure in sport mode this vehicle could make short work of the260hp murano in a o-60 race! Ehy dont reviewer test 0-60 times in sport mode by default? It's not like it ischeating. The sport mode us there for the best acceleration, right? Its like superman not using all his strength to win a fight because he us so incredibly strong. The vtec tech is amazing on its own but add a turbo and a light weight chasis. You have a speedster. So take that mazda! Zoom! That. Honda is the new zoom
