Nissan’s absolute biggest problem is their lack of marketing for this truck. Can’t remember the last time seeing a commercial for one (and I don’t think they EVER promoted the XD). Always liked the styling of last and current gen models. And I LOVE being one of only a few XDs at campsites with my travel trailer. They should have really pushed that market because it handles my 33’ like a champ!

I have a 2017 Platinum XD Titan and I am enjoying it. I’m also a Ford guy too. I had three F-150 trucks and still own one for farm use but I wanted something different. I got mine from another Veteran who was trading it for the Cummings Diesel since Nissan was discontinuing that engine. I’m very pleased with it for what I use it for. Trips to Lowe’s and pulling my mowers. The horsepower is great! Don’t sleep on the Titan.

Love your review and feedback. I’ve driven all kinds of trucks. Sure, there are more powerful trucks out there. BUT my 2014 PRO-4X Big Tow Package Crew Cab drives and rides better than any truck out there I’ve driven. Why?? The throttle response and the 4-wheel drive system fells the most solid. The engineers nailed it on the VK56 design, a robust dependable and long lasting engine. It was designed to have most of its torque at a low RPM and still last many years doing just that. I’ve never had any issues towing large trailers loaded out with trees, helping people move, 19’ car trailers with someone’s vehicle on it. From the Rockies to the sandy beach and snow covered streets and mountains, everything about this truck is downright dependable! Aside from a battery change and the head unit having hiccups, this truck is awesome!

@The Zigg Zagg Show Great video! I own a 2017 Nissan Titan and really love my truck. Very well said in terms of brand loyalty...that hurts the Titan and it's unfortunate because it's an excellent truck. I tow a 6000 lb travel trailer and it handles it wonderfully. I love everything about my Titan.
@dbader242 жыл бұрын
I just purchased a 17 SV a couple of weeks ago. Like Zagg said, I too am a F150 guy. The problem with this market is that the resale value of the F150 vs the Titan is higher. I went to a Nissan dealership and got an offer on the Titan then went to a Ford dealership to get a F150 like I wanted. I wanted to get a 16 Lariat FX4 for the same price as the Titan. I had the printout in my pocket for the Titan. The dealer would not budge on the price of the F150. I told him I will get the Titan if he doesnt match the offer. Guess what, I marched my a$$ back to Nissan and got the Titan. Love, I mean, love the Titan. The throttle response on the truck is amazing vs the 3.5 Ecoboost V6 of the Ford. not much difference in mileage either. I took a 6 hour trip to Nebraska and I got around 20 MPG. I vouch for what Zagg said. This is probably the best kept secret for a truck if you are wanting a daily driver with the option to haul stuff when you need it.

This man speaks the truth! I'm in the market right now and I'm seriously looking at the Titan XD. I guess I'll never understand the whole brand loyalty thing, unless I owned stock in a particular brand. I have to disagree slightly about the XD with the Diesel. I think it was a good concept for people like me, a weekend warrior who tows a 8-9K travel trailer and lives in the mountain west at high elevations 5K to 12K. I don't really need an HD, but I need a little more weight and stability when towing than a regular half-ton can provide. However, I would definitely add a custom tune and a few other mods to wake the Titan diesel up a little bit. Anyway, your truck looks good! Your right, with a little lift and tires, the Titan really stands out in a crowd.

The lack of advertising also is a big reason why the Titan trucks are not selling as the so called American brands. Just bought my Pro 4X Baja Storm and traded a Titan SV for this truck. They actually gave me what I paid for the SV 20 months ago. Great vid and May I ask what part of the south do you reside? Noticed the irrigation systems, flat ground, native trees and cows in the vid, felt at home.

This truck definitely tows way better than Silverados I have used in years past. My dad was a Chevrolet Silverado loyalist for life and all about American owned and made and he begrudgingly gave the Titan his nod of approval. I tow a 19-foot fiberglass boat on a regular basis and the Silverado can't handle acceleration or braking as well with a 17 foot aluminum in my personal experiences.
