Trying not to be emotional but damn, I missed her so much. The fact that she admitted that she was a drug addict, and overcome it just prove that she is a warrior! Welcome back Demi!
@ZakEdwardsOfficial
@ZakEdwardsOfficial 4 жыл бұрын
This is such a twisted way of thinking. There is some awful parenting happening. You are not a "warrior" for doing drugs and especially to the point of overdosing and then stopping. The "warrior" fights through this brutal life without a crutch like drugs. Heartbreaking to hear so many echo these sentiments. No one discusses those that are brave enough to not self destruct. You don't have to screw your life up to have worth.

@@ZakEdwardsOfficial Shes not a warrior for doing drugs. Shes a warrior for coming back and recovering. For fighting through her struggles and coming back alive. She isnt just a former drug addict. She survived through her depression and worse. That's why.

I think one thing I learned from singers/youtubers I look up to recently that dealt with drug addiction or eating disorders if once you are an addict you are forever an addict. The rest of your life you are fighting daily to not go back. Those individuals that fight every day to move forward with their life and continue on strong are very much warriors in my eyes.

Yes and never 1 time in my life in 36 years have I ever once heard demi Lovato's AMAZING AMAZING performance and her vocals. It was so inspiring and gives me chills. I completely understand what she means and I understand. It's beautiful! Now Whitney Houston and Christina Aguilera are 2 others that I literally could I my even begin to compare her vocals to in anyway but the pain and beauty in her voice. The words cant even begin to describe! Go Demi Lavota girl!!!!!!!

All we can do is hope and pray and watch over her. I saw a comment on that video of Demi saying to watch over her because the lead singer Chester from linkin park committed suicide and he sang his emotion through his songs. Exactly what Demi did. Loosing Chester was horrible because linkin park help so many fans, including me, and with Demi music help so many as well. I hope one day she’ll be fully sober and happy with herself.

For my perspective, I cried because I hated singing after my puberty and my parents and other friends I have hated my voice because it's too deep. I stopped singing for 2 years and came back improving to my new voice. I always remember those 2 years hating myself getting depressed and scared to sing thinking it's the worst thing you'll do to your entire life until I remember I'm still a teenager making me continue. The only thing that made me scared to sing is that everyone hated my voice and aren't calling me a good singer anymore still hit me hard from this song. Wishing that I should die or let me forget that I'm not a singer and continue being a jerk.

Goon Tunes no way ? Doing drugs to make yourself feel better and numb is self centered no way ? Are you gonna tell me next that suicide is self centered and not for the greater good of your family and friends too ? OBVIOUSLY, people don’t usually do hardcore drugs to do anything but numb the pain or escape the pain . And yes that pain is in their head in their perception of yes themselves ... why make your comment , you really think anyone in the world is dumb enough to think she did heroin for any reason besides her own pain and mental struggles ... people don’t do these things in a right state of mind ..

I'm 14 and grew up on Demi. i'm so proud of her. I'm so glad i've had her as a role model for so long. She's a fighter and she's taught me so much about life. I saw this and started sobbing. She deserves so much in life. She's taught generations to keep pushing and we can get through anything.

Ive been a lovatic since i knew camp rock. And as i grew up with her music and her struggle, i don't wish her more fame or awards anymore though it might be crucial for some artists. But ive always wanted demi to be better for herself. I love how real and raw she is when it comes to opening up. Sometimes you get this feeling of shame and hurt and you go back up, not knowing that there will be some downfalls waiting for you. I love demi for not stoping to try to get help and realize that life will always have its down even when you're on top of the world. But you just gotta stay strong 💕

First time I've gotten through watching this performance without crying. Demi's emotion here shows that she keeps it 100% I think this performance woke up a lot of people that were sleeping on both her talent and the reality of how dangerous drugs can be. Life is worth living. Above all, love yourself. If you don't love yourself now, you can always set goals towards self improvement. Everyone struggles with something, whether physically, mentally or emotionally. Athletes do not become gold medalists by sitting on their butts and doing nothing. Find what motivates you and cling to the hope that tomorrow is worth another try.

So glad you have, she is sooo raw and real here... think about how vocal performances are so overproduced and rehearsed to death they don't mean anything.... how brave of her to sing this live and basically acapella after all she's been through... she gave everything here. I found it hard to hold back tears as well with the belting part! Thank you for watching this ♡

Yes she "wrote" this song a few days prior to her overdose but after that she stayed sober and when the Grammy can around she was ready and felt healthy and well enough to get up and perform the song she had written. Alot of ppl are getting confused an thinking that she relapsed and overdosed 4 days after performing this song or that she had overdosed just 4 days before performing this song. Neither are true. Just wanted to help clarify 😊

She is such a beautiful soul and I pray her heart sustains loving health as her beautiful and gifted soul shines on and sings on!!! Thank you for always being the wonderful vocal coach that you are. I haven’t been following you for very long, but when one of your videos found it’s way onto my view list, I thought, she has a nice smile, so I watched. I’ve been hooked ever since. Everyone that posted online also mentioned the other passengers. Theyre names werent releaeed but maybe one other. His daughter wasn't even mentioned at first bc no one knew who was on the plane. It was known that Kobe was on the plane first, do a lot of celebs had to post another post and add her. I remeber think man this will hit Gigi the hardest bc she is so close to her dad. She was always a daddy's girl, he was always carrying her even as a baby. So to hears she was in the crash too uggh. I have a daughter it hurts. There was another parnet and basketball teen in the crash , but no one is saying their names. It is just wo sad all around. You can't be mad that everyone is talking about Kobe and his daughter. They passed away.

It's difficult to talk about cuz nobody knows them...they weren't public figures...all we kno is that they were coaches and their children died as well which is awful but after that gets mentioned there's nothing else to say without more info...Kobe impacted millions of regular peoples lives through sport and spent his entire career in one place...We watched him grow from a teenager to one of the greatest (top 3) basketball players in history...We saw him start a family and watched them grow as we did...Many of us feel like we grew up with him and he was always there improving through good and bad times but never left us for a winning team like other players do...then his daughter Gigi started following in his footsteps showing signs of greatness like we saw in Kobe and people were saying he needed a boy...but Gigi said no I got this with that same determination and confidence Kobe showed...and now they're gone forever... and we all know Kobe's beautiful wife and three daughters are home knowing Kobe and Gigi are never coming home...it's so sad cuz we kno so much but they have to actually live through every moment of pain and suffering...Hope that gives an idea of why people keep overshadowing

And that's the beauty of music. Songs can take you on a journey.....you feel it...you get it....and with this performance in particular. Her emotions were raw and laid bare. Can YOU imagine performing this song KNOWING it was the last thing you may have ever written? And do it publicly and with so much control and GRACE??? So powerful....

First of all it was pretty thoughtful and genuine of this coach to acknowledge Kobe, an incredible loss in the sports/entertainment industry before proceeding to talk about another living and remarkable talent. That said, this is my first time watching this coach's review; but I am just as moved by her true and vulnerable reaction to Demi's performance as to the performance itself. I am always in awe of any artist who creates and belts out such high quality material and will have do such performance repeatedly during promotions. That is just the power of vocals and talent.
