I am an American female singer and songwriter and I was bawling by the end of her performance not only can I feel her pain through her words and her vocal expressions but I can empathize with her in her song. She is a “diamond in the rough”, as many can sing but not all can write lyrics and make the audience “feel” the music written. It is important to, as Rebecca said, quit waiting and start doing what you love. There will always be haters, believe in yourself. I know I need to do something with my talents too. Just started watching her channel and I don’t think listening to this particular video was a coincidence and I can now say I am a fan of both Rebecca and Lara Fabian!

Lara fabian is our international treasure. She is simply one of the best technical singer coming from Europe. She has like 10years of opera singing lessons under the belt so she learnt how to mix up vocal technique, beauty of the tone and emotion at the top of human limits. She has now more than 30years of singing carreer and still slaying all of her songs. Here, she's at her vocal prime, she was clearly above everything and everyone, capable to belting out during 2hours without any sign of fatigue or strain. Don't know how many lara's song you've had react yet but the english-must song are "Broken vow", "Love by grace", "You're not from here", "adagio", " to love again" and "I am who I am". Then she has lot of incredible french songs like this one ( written and singing originally by Serge Lama), "tout" ( meaning "everything"), " je t'aime" ( meaning "I love you"), "Si tu m'aimes" ( meaning "If you love me", the original french version of "To love again"), "Parce que tu pars" ("because you leaves"), "Aimer déjà" ( can be translate as " to love already"). She also have "Caruso" and "Perdre l'amore" in Italien. And a lot of classic of the french culture like " le blues du businessman" ( "businessman blues"), " le monde est stone" (the original version of The world is stone") or "Calling you" ( originally from Bagdad café)

@@skylerpowers8871 I'm pretty sure Lara didn't wrote it. "From Wikipedia: The Adagio in G minor for violin, strings, and organ continuo is a neo-Baroque composition popularly attributed to the 18th-century Venetian master Tomaso Albinoni, but actually composed by 20th-century musicologist and Albinoni biographer Remo Giazotto, purportedly based on the discovery of a manuscript fragment by Albinoni. There is a continuing scholarly debate about whether the alleged fragment was real, or a musical hoax perpetrated by Giazotto, but there is no doubt about Giazotto's authorship of the remainder of the work. Lara Fabian can really do anything to you. Anything she pleases. She can make you cry, laugh, stare in disbelief, think, forget to breathe, put your hands up and freeze on your seat. Her emotive abilities combined with a battalion of vocal colors can transform you into a puppet, instinctively reacting to any given stimuli and following every move, however subtle it may be. It is really not easy to reach that level of expression as an artist. I had the joy of seeing her live last year here in Greece and was completely and utterly devastated. One of the all time greats.-

There is something magical about that, there is something you can’t explain that goes through you, like a storm, like something blossoming, like why are we here and breathing in a light?” She is a magical artist. @stephanieellis53992 жыл бұрын
Yes. I agree. There are definitely similarities to their voices but there's a depth to Lara that I just haven't heard from Celine. Maybe it's like watching a great movie with good actors but you never forget that it that famous actor playing that role. But then in another actor disappears and *become* the character, even without effects their face and body changes as they embody that character. I think that I am always aware that I am listening to Celine; here is C singing a sad song, a powerful song, a hopeful song. But I think that L disappears into songs like this where you have to, as Rebecca said, "find that place in you/part of you" to actually sing it well. Lara became that woman who had become so ill because of this relationship. You might know in your brain that somebody else wrote this song but your heart is convinced that she is singing about her own experience for the first time.

Also, it's a shame you barely got to know her, she's been singing for a long time. she speaks it. French naturally, she comes from Quebec 🤣. Italian. The English The Belgian. The Russian . Lara is incredible! She has been my favorite singer for 25 years and she knows how to connect to a song and how to convey that emotion to the public. She is passionate, genuine, kind and caring and all of this shows in her performances. Look for her performance with Johnny Hallyday if you want an overdose of passion! She has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard and she diligently works on her instrument every single day. "You're not from here" and "P... De grand amour" are favourites of mine, but I love all she does. Look for her duet of "The Prayer" with Michael Bolton, it's another great performance by both artists. On a side note, I am French from Quebec and my husband is Anglophone and he can't stop listening to French artists from Europe and Quebec as he says that they are more passionate in their delivery than most, and I have to agree! 😊💕🎶

Thanks for your genuine reaction to the amazing Lara Fabian! Lara is phenomenal singer and Artist and she is absolutely unmatched as a live performer, and not only she vocally perfect, but she also is a true Queen of Emotions and no one can compare to her. This performance of «Je suis Malade» is an absolutely brilliant timeless Masterpiece of the Highest Class! In my opinion this incredible Lara’s performance is one of the very best live performances ever in the whole history of music. I have seen this performance countless times and every time Lara's voice pierces me to the very depths of my soul and brings me to trembling and tears. Lara is simply out of this world…

Do you know how I freaked out when I saw that you uploaded this? I was on a class trip the whole week, which was awful because my class mates either ignore me or make fun of me. This performance from Lara means so much to me. So now that I'm finally home, I'm watching this first thing, and I'm crying because you bring positivity which I desperately need right now, while reacting to this performance. I feel like I'm rambling, but anyways, thank you so so much ❤❤

Great reaction to by far and away the greatest female vocalist of all time. Lara Fabian. She ranks up there with the legends like Mariah, Whitney, Celine, Streisand...but what puts her at the top of the vocal mountain is this: she belts them out with emotional impact in 12 DIFFERENT LANGUAGES!!! That’s right. All with the same emotional intensity!! No, that’s not a misprint. Here’s a KZbin vid that offers you a sampling of her belting in 7 languages !!!! She has another where she belts in 12!!!! Mariah, Celine maybe 2 huh? I’d love for you or your subscribers to watch or react privately or publicly to the following song that she wrote: Please KZbin : “Lara Fabian Broken Vow”( the one she performs live as the final song of my all time favorite concert by her. The one posted by Marcopantoja where lara briefly explains the inspiration behind this heartwrenching song co-written by her. Later sung by Josh Groban. I cry every time I listen. Al

Lara Fabian est une grande chanteuse, en France c'est une véritable star trop mal comprise par certaines personnes car elle vit à 100% ses chansons et ça peut déranger ... ❤

If you like her, you should try her duo with the late and amazing Maurane. It's called "Tu es mon autre". Maurane was probably the best voice in the whole French-speaking world.

Beautiful woman, amazing singer, her vocal range is just outstanding. This song is so huge, she's literally turning the stage into her stage and taking all the space this song needs to be presented so perfectly.

This is by far the most powerful vocalist I think I’ve ever heard!!!!!!.......Oh my gosh, she made me cry and I felt her pain I related to her feelings of hurt, being in a relationship but feeling alone knowing that that person you love is not being faithful and doesn’t care about how you feel....Gasp!!! I watched this video of yours in the past and was looking for her as I couldn’t remember her name and it dawned on me that I watched it first on your channel! She is an inspiration to all, especially vocalists! Beautiful inside and out! This is what I aspire to do as a vocalist, create songs with meaning, awesome lyrics, sing beautifully and capture the emotion of those songs. I’m not the greatest writer and I have songs that I’ve wrote but not finished but I want to be a better writer/lyricist. Do you recommend anyone to glean from concerning this???

thanks for your review and critique. I was smiling to myself hoping she would knock you out the way she has me. I totally agree... the emotions she embodies are so real, laid so bare in service to the song that I cannot hear this without tearing up. She grabs me in the guts and makes me focus only on her and the story. I have performed in public for 30 years and I still learn so MUCH from her performance of this story.

You definitely need to hear her rendition of Caruso, it's hauntingly beautiful and honestly it sends shivers down my spine whenever I hear it. It's just that ghastly stunning that it makes time seem frozen for a moment and the yearning that seeps off from that song sends tears to your eyes. It's probably my personal favourite out of all the songs she has sang so far. I'd dare promise you won't regret hearing it

Welcome to the french music, where lyrics is the main subject and is, when we talk about great song, comparable to litterature and poetry. Do not hesitate to ask for some song that is focusing on both (Diego, SOS d'un terrien en détresse etc etc) vocals and lyrics.
