it's also telling that his explanation is also, well, bullshit A gun that works the way he explained would have literally no penetration power. super heated fluid sounds cool, but is terrible at holding momentum, so would rapidly lose velocity, leaving you with a laughably short ranged weapon. Then at the point of contact all it's kinetic energy would be directed away from the hard surface because fluid can expand outwards with ease and energy follows the path of least resistance. So basically any hard surface renders these weapons less useful then what we were using on earth at the turn of the 1900s looks neat at first, but there's a reason you've never seen it in any other scifi setting. This is the sort of idea that sounds great until you think about it.... at all....

I dunno what more to say about Zach Snyder that hasn’t already been said. Coming off the collapse of the DC universe films I’m not sure who on the Netflix board thought it was ok to give this man that much money unchecked but essentially Zach Snyder has “enablers” in the context of an addict who keeps finding a friend to get them out of trouble. I wished this guy had someone who could get him to look at the Dawn of the Dead remake where he worked with a good writer (in this case James Gunn) with strong material to harness his visual talents. But unless that massive ego is tamed we’ll continue to be fertilized by visual diarrhea.

I’m not a Snyder basher, at all. In fact his cut of Justice League is my favorite superhero film of all time. But, my understanding is that this was a pitch for a Star Wars film that got rejected. So, maybe Disney is making good decisions after all? Or, maybe, the reason this fell flat is because it was supposed to be a Star Wars movie and instead of getting to coast off of the pre established lore, he had to invent his own? I’ll wait for the R version to decide about it myself, but your mention of The Wild Bunch made me want to watch that classic film tonight!

Seems like it’s Seven Samurai with nazis and slo-mo. And how important can one large field of grain be worth? They harvested it in one day.

Since this is not a real Snyder Cut situation, I can't see how those two movies can be saved with those cuts. You probably still have the "same" movies with the same plot structure only with more boring exposition dumbs. The first hour of Part Two was the most boring of the year. And I was in hope, that the second would be able to pick up the first, even a little would help. No, it's more or less the same with Ed gets killed again by Sofia. The interest in the DC's went to 0.

Oof, I couldn’t make it thru the movie. I kept becoming disinterested and had to rewind a few times only to inevitably fall asleep 75% in. The cliché, lazy, and corny narration, the played out slo-mo scenes, the shallow character development, wak fighting etc…ruined it for me. Don’t get me started on the anorexic story and the generic looking world/sets. It almost looks AI generated. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Huge huge Zack Snyder fan here and I will give Rebel Moon part 1 and part 2 zero stars because they are dog shit and I'll wait to see what the 6-hour bulshit version is and is it really is a lot better I'm really going to be mad because this is once again the reverse way of doing the movies either release your version or don't do it at all because neither Rebel Moon part 1 or Rebel Moon part 2 have any story or character development and it was a waste of over 4 hours of my time about nothing. And I agree the main female star of this series is one of my favorite female actresses because she is smoking hot and to cut her hair off like that and make her look the way she looked in this movie she looks so unattractive that I had to double check to make sure that it actually is the same woman that I believe was super beautiful Admiral Noble I kind of like him as the Nazi bad guy but he was written wrong and just not used properly Admiral Noble could have been a better villain if he was written better and it's such a waste because it looks like he really enjoyed being the bad guy and I liked him being the bad guy but all the characters just seen wasted because they had no real backstory and I'm tired and burned out with the over the top slow-mo especially with harvesting fucking wheat what does starships and Empires need with Farm wheat and they run on coal? Come on man, I could have wrote a better story than this bullshit

In interviews Zach Snyder keeps saying that everyone should wait for the directors cut of Rebel Moon. He doesn’t stand by what Netflix has produced. But thankful that they’ll let him release his real vision soon. So I guess we’ll wait.

Both parts were fine for what they were. Mid budget netflix sci-fi films. They were quite ok if you had low expectations. 6 out of 10 the first and 7 out of 10 the second. My only criticism is that Snyder doesn't care about improving his weaknesses as a director ,but I do think that the bad parts of his netflix films have more to do with netflix rather than him.

I don't think Zack Snyder will be famous for the Director's Cut. I think he will be infamous for the Director's Cut. If you say that you didn't get your vision out the first time and that you have the gul to release a byproduct of the project into two parts, its an insult to your audience when the parts you use to make that film are not even dense enough to justify that run time. Shame on this guy for continuing to make excercises in excess. Justice League was a fluke. Only because he had double the time to come up with ideas for that movie and parts of it still sucked. He still says he wished he included more in his 2021 version and this practice is becoming tiresome. He will never be content with any of the work he puts that he'll have to give it a thousand more versions for him to be happy. It really is all mindless nonsense. If he loves his visuals, he should paint, not make movies.
