Bob Marley and the wailers (Uprising) was the first album I ever bought with my first wage packet back in 1980, the album inspired me to follow reggae music all my life and Bob's drummer Carlton Barrett also inspired me to take up percussion. Bob's music and influence shapped me and introduced me to many people tru reggae, I even meet my wife and had 4Beautiful children all in my opinion because of that 1st album... I wish Mr Marley was still with us in person so I could thank him. Im grateful that Bob with live on forever tru his music. Give thanks

I know you mean. I started listening to reggae, because of Bob Marley. I’ve gotten a deep understanding of the Bible-partly because Rastafarianism. I picked up drumming at my church (as a teenager) and my greatest influence was Carlton Barrett. I was able to incorporate his style of one-drop beat to worship songs, and it sounded really good to me. I just haven’t been able to replicate his high hat style; especially in Heathen and Exodus

Bob Marley was the third world first superstar to attend international stadium through the rhythms of his music. His dreadlock and Marrewana smoking appeals to the world's press But Bob Marley was more important than his image. His music was mainly for the oppressed, things that people feel and live daily you know, people struggle because they're coming from the ghetto... Bob Marley was indeed God's messenger on earth........❤ONE LOVE FROM AFRICA ❤ 🇨🇲13th April 2021.
