General Dodonna's ships destroyed, Rebel transports in flames, Commander Sato dead and most of Phoenix Squadron annihilated, the base the Rebels worked so hard to build gone, and hundreds of loyal Rebels killed trying to escape. Even though some ships got away, this was an OVERWHELMING victory for The Empire. If only Konstantine's attempt at glory and advancement hadn't gotten in the way of Thrawn's plan, he would have taken them all down. Even the Bendu couldn't stop Thrawn.

Spaceboomer Darkchaser not really victory for empire. They are at the same place as they were in the start of season 2 they could have only counted it a victory had they captured Dodana and Hera. It was a defeat for the rebels tho.

Joey Kevorkian It was a victory in the sense they strike a crippling blow to the rebels, with almost their whole fleet destroyed, and with some propaganda by the Empire, they'll blow it up to deter people from rebelling.

Tactically, it was a victory for the Empire: A rebel base destroyed. A Majority of the Phoenix Squad rebels annihilated, including one flagship and Commander Jun Sato. And likely a delay on the attack on the T.I.E Defender factory on Lothal. But it was a Pyrrhic victory for the Rebellion. Captain Syndulla and General Dodonna survived and escape Imperial capture. Both Jedi escaped as well and there were survivors of Phoenix Squad. And now the Empire is at square one in trying to find where the new Rebel base will be (which they will find out in 0 BBY)

I loved how the Japanese inspired commander did a kamikaze attack XD But really though, I'm glad they finally showed a rebel do a suicide attack (with a capital ship) using their own ship to take out a more powerful imperial cruiser . You'd think they would do that more often (as a last resort).

I think that's part of the point. Watch videos from Operation Desert Storm. Seeing a polished general standing there in ironed camos and an infantry helmet looks kinda goofy. But, it's the uniform, so it's what they would realistically wear. Thrawn's a military officer, not a supervillain. He wouldn't have specialized uniforms or helmets made just so he didn't look a little goofy.

5 things: 1) During Twin Suns, when Obi Wan switches from his old Form III to Qui Gon's form, it would be cool to have heard Liam Neeson say "patience Obi Wan" 2) does anybody else think this season has been lacking Kanan a lot? 3) I was not expecting to see the bendu this episode 4) I was definitely not expecting Sato to be the one to die, I was sure it would've been Kallus 5) my spidey senses tell me that next season we'll see Mon Calamari start to get involved with the alliance Overall, a great season. There were some dud episodes, but when this season was good, is was great.

The season 2 finale with Vader vs Ahsoka felt like it was yesterday. Times go by fast! Other than that, this finale was no doubt amazing because the Empire pretty much won this battle even though the Rebels escaped but they did crippled them very hard now that Sato and their base is gone. I'm glad this show is getting much more closer to the movies now since we're going to Yavin IV next season. And hopefully Vader comes back or another Inquisitor so that way Kanan and Ezra will have more lightsaber duels. Can't have a show without that.

It's entirely possible that it may have been pushed back to Season 4. If you remember, Clone Wars' Season 5 Trailer initially had visuals of the Clovis Arc that did not appear until the Lost Missions. Something must have happened in production or the overall story did not flow in such a way for that story to be told just yet. She could still be out there, but I expect for not much longer.

What an epic finale! I had a huge feeling that Sato was not going to survive this battle, but I did NOT expect him to go out in a sacrifice attack. That was awesome! and I knew all the way from season 1 that Kallus was going to turn face (become a good guy) and I'm really looking forward to seeing him in Season 4 as a main party member!

1st half of the Episode was amazing the other half was ok letting 2 Stormtroopers escort Kallus was predictable and plot armor, I wanted him to die to show that Thrawn doesn't tolerate traitors!

Howard The Duck seriously true. They had two death troopers holding him up when thrawn was on the destroyer but they then just leave Kallus with low level storm troopers even though he was a clear threat. But I'm glad they did it Kallus grew to be my favorite character in the series after this season

Thrawn's weakness huh? I'm pretty sure its that all his fore planning is both a strength and weakness. You can only predict and plan for so much....but if something came completely out of left field at him, I don't see him as the type to do well at on the spot improvising. I mean look at how rattled he was when Bendu showed up, took him awhile until he got his wits enough together to attempt something in defense. Like they said, he's very much cerebral, not intuitive/instinct.

Star Wars Rebels is one few shows that I watched over my lifetime that just keeps getting every season, and I'm 48 years old. While I have many questions about season 4, the one I want answered most is Ashoka. Is she alive or dead? I believe she is alive. Belief is one thing, but cannon trumps all.

Yeah she had a theme for about a couple year by this point. It is quiet common for character to have their own musical themes.

I like how Thrawn's flaw is maintaining allies. It's what backfired when Konstantine double crosses Thrawn, and it's what the Bendu suggests is Thrawn's fate. It makes the character that much more relatable, for in attempting to prove his intellect and insist in achieving the work he took so placing into effect, the ignorance he had for his comrades would not simply give Thrawn reverence, but also displeasure for focusing on his own intentions.
