This was a really good role play to watch because the clients behavior is exactly what I do to myself. Another person and I can do the same exact behavior and I would want to crucify myself but think the other person was just having a bad day or something. I don't know where this thought process came from either but it was eye opening to see it played out and how the counselor explained what was going on to the client and how to counteract those actions. I am definitely going to try those practices myself and see how it works. It will be a lot of work to change this behavior since I have been like this all my life. I believe with work though it can be done, especially since the goal of REBT is to aid people in lessening their emotional disturbances and self-defeating behaviors in order to become more satisfied with themselves and the counselors goal that was given to the client will achieve this.

Have you used REBT in your own professional career? and how would you compare it to CT or CBT as most people call it, in terms of your own subjective preference for one or the other. I just viewed your video explaining the main differences between the two, and I am curious as to which one, you yourself, prefer with clients in your practice. I understand you might switch depending on the needs of the clients, but just your own subjective opinion would be great. Thanks for all the helpful videos btw!

Would the guilt from not being at work play into the judgement?
