Regarding warmups, I would really appreciate a long winded video how your warm ups look like before you lift? Mobility? Stretching? Specific Exercises? What activation exercises? How many sets? reps? How does a proper Hypertrophy Coach warmup look like? Can you share your detailed warmup routines for alle the different days please and what you personally recommend how someone should warm up properly, especially for garage gym owners that dont have access to all the fancy machines or no machines at all, just bands, bodyweight, barbells, dumbbells etc. I´m a bit older, 45 years and One thing that I found very profound is that I always perform better at the end of my workouts. I always feel sluggish when I start a workout, not ready, not sweaty, regardless at which time of the day I train and regardless how I ate. I rarely get less than 8 hours of sleep and my job is pretty low stress. Though I do sit pretty much all day. After about 45 minutes or at the end of the workout I feel like I am firing on all cylinders. I was wondering if there was a warm-up technique or protocol that can help shorten this and that raises my body temperature, prime my central nervous system and help me to blow out my first lung, like boxers or fighters would say. I want to already sweat when I go into my strength or hypertrophy work, but I don´t want to fatigue myself or do unnecessary junk volume, hours of cardio etc. on the other hand, I want to perform on demand not perform when the conditioning is best. I´m a recreational natural lifter with the goal to build as much muscle naturally as I can. Maybe you have some suggestions too. Thank you very much

Really found this video useful - more than any you've done previously. It's like a practical guide for implementing a routinef for the normal lifter vs. the just providing a template and an assumption everyone is superman and at 100% each day like most routines assume. I know that's because you're dealing with a health issue and training isn't as high a priority, but it still shows how to implement something realistically without thinking you have to be 100% all the time. Found your method of logbooking very useful too and hadn't thought to do it that way.

Older brother got me into working out, and has been training intermittently while dealing with an auto immune disease for over 20 years-really excited to share with him! He’s been on an excellent streak and I feel he’ll definitely benefit from some of the pointers in this video. Excited for the rest of this series! 👍🏻

I know I’m late to your channel and this vid is 11 months old! I also keep a log book and struggle with the number of movements and tracking what (remembering what I should do next time). You simple notation is golden -a minus to hold or an arrow up and what to micro increase next time 🙌 Simple and clear cut! Now I can go look in the mirror at me bing stupid LOL 😂😂😂 Thank you!

I have been doing 2 working sets on virtually every exercise for what could be a year or more now, for the most part focusing on gaining strength with a heavy topset, and then either repeating a heavy set or doing a slightly lighter second set. Maybe 3 exercises per muscle group, 2 or even 1 for some.. Yet, I've been progressing in size better than when I used to do more sets of higher reps. I've been growing better with strength training than hypertrophy training, blew my mind. Also means I can add more volume if I want in certain exercises.

I’ve had zero changes on that since the beginning of 2019. Prescribed HRT through my primary care physician. Keep my levels at 600-800. 80/mg a week of test keeps me right there and no AI needed.

do you have any tips against the FOMO when trying lower volume training?...i got a decent foundation but im pretty confident 80% of the time i was almost certainly hindering my progress by doing too much...if im trying to force myself to do lower volume i got huge issues feeling satisfied and i almost cant focus on my set cause in my head im stressing like omg this is my 4th set total for triceps and then thats it??? and then i gotta wait 5 days until i hit it again??? that cant be enough
@RDS_Armwrestling
@RDS_Armwrestling Жыл бұрын
Lower volume means you can (and have to) train closer to, or right up to failure, or even beyond failure for some muscles. That feeling of a totally burned to a crisp pump after your sets will remind and reassure you that you have done enough to progress.
@MrYokyScape
@MrYokyScape Жыл бұрын
Train to failure. Guaranteed you won’t want to do more lol
@NLLeFa
@NLLeFa 11 ай бұрын
You have to see it from a different point of view. The point of training is to stimulate your muscle and then go rest, eat and sleep to grow. Muscle gaining is so slow anyways, so I've never really understood those principles of high frequency, protein synthesis and stuff like that. Just hit it once a week with absolute brutality in terms of intensity, not volume and it will grow eventually.
