This has been one huge renovation Rob and is now looking so much different than before, much more improved too. I have no idea about the window insulation but I wish you good luck with the knee treatment. You will need them working well, so that Archie can have his long walks again and he's still thinking, when is all of this going to be finished.

Hi mate, yeah starting to feel tired and jaded a little from all the work, the bad knee and trying to get everything done for Xmas! But I’ll get there and it’ll all be worth it! Hope you’re well mate?

Everything's coming together nicely, Rob. Why not connect all the slats under your sofa by stapling two webbing straps to the bottom of them and screwing down just the end ones. Just butcher a cheap load strap from B&M or somewhere..
@PackTheVanAndGoКүн бұрын
Hey mate, that’s a great idea… think I’ll give that a go! Thanks mate! How’s you?
@Peter-at-Heres-The-ThingКүн бұрын
@@PackTheVanAndGo All’s well here, thanks. If you’re accessing that storage frequently then screw one end down and at the other end you just need a stop, like a dowel or a small block of wood fixed to the frame to stretch the last slat of the webbed ladder over. Hope you understand my description.

@@Peter-at-Heres-The-Thing yeah got that mate… awesome thank you so much for the help and advice! I’ll give that a shot and see if that works 👍 thanks mate

Coming on well chap 👍 I partially insulated my windows without issue, i used stick on foam and carpeted over it, so the window is bigger outside and smaller inside (vid on my channel) . Keep at it, it's looking sweet inside 😎👍
@PackTheVanAndGoКүн бұрын
So it’s worth doing that small area of the window inside with sticky foam and then carpet on top? Rob
@Dirt-DigglerКүн бұрын
@PackTheVanAndGo I recon yes 👍 less surface area for condensation to form on, more insulation, slightly better sound isolation, not a huge amount i do concede but I can't see any downsides 🤔 Had mine like it 2 years now and haven't had any issues of any kind, no peeling ect but mine is sandwiched betwixt the glass and a ply window frame, I suppose heat could cause the glue to fail ? Glass does get bloody hot in the sun, especially tinted glass 🤔

Looks amazing mate, well done you. Quick question on the auxbeam switch panel. Did you wire it to the starter battery for your lights mate or the leisure battery. Doing mine now but the run is so long for a 60 amp draw.
@PackTheVanAndGo23 сағат бұрын
HI mate, initially I ran the wording to the van battery, but realised how much amps it all pulls with all the external lighting, so rewired it to the leisure battery.. hope that helps mate?
@leelendon148222 сағат бұрын
Thanks for the reply Rob, much appreciated. Did you move the switch panel near the battery or use a thicker cable in the end ?
@PackTheVanAndGo22 сағат бұрын
@@leelendon1482 I left the switch at panel in the cab, ran the negative wire to the vehicle battery and the ran 16mm cable to the leisure battery… i fused the positive cable twice, by the van battery and into the buss bar
@leelendon148222 сағат бұрын
Thanks Rob . Yeah I worked out 16mm would be the cable to use. You have confirmed that as well. Yeah thinking the same as I have a 300w light bar auxbeam, the rear cube lights like yours , black magic and flood cube lights on the bonnet. Think they were 80 amp a set . Totalling 460w (40amps) just for the lights.
