Teasing me with your train track again....how about strapping a go-pro to it and taking a spin around the rails?
@MichaelStraubSeaDooLooper2 жыл бұрын
Yes! On my to do list. Gotta clean the tracks first... and for that matter, I still have to go through my mail from being on the loop!

Loved the little sneak peek of the train track. Thanks again Michael for sharing and answering so many of the questions.

Guiding a group would be even harder than you said. Someone’s machine would break down, someone would get sick, some may want to tide in tough weather others wait it out... Because you are so detailed and thorough planner, I want to to guide me and a few others on a Seattle to Alaska trip.

A while back I read an article about a company that does that trip! It was pre-covid, so I'm not sure if it still exists

I agree... and now I can understand why guides might charge so much for the big expeditions! Dangerous Water Adventures is the Alaska one...

Hello Mike it's Paul from Clinton township Michigan you need to write a book called Michael's Loop Adventure. I wouldn't be surprised if Hollywood comes to you to make a movie of your adventure, this is huge what you accomplished it's history. Sea Doo might even ask you to make commercials for them who knows the skies the limit for you my friend thank you for all you did and sharing it with the world wish you good health and be safe God-bless you and your family ciao for now bro.

Thanks Paul!! Very kind words. I'm not a novelist, and my words tend to be on the simple side -- but I will likely give it a whirl this winter. Gotta have something to do while the snow is falling...!

Hi Mike. These recap videos are great. You talked about going number 2. What about number one? Not easy to go when you have all the tanks and everything else on the Seadoo.

I would just standup on one side of the ski, and send it overboard. Luckily I could always find a place where there were no houses, and no other boats around. I was really worried about this before I started the trip -- being caught in a miles-long no-wake zone full of houses, and have to pee really bad. But somehow, that never happened!

No doubt the logistics for a trip of this magnitude would hands dow be the hardest. I would say secondly, physically, mentally and emotionally would play a big part.

That's a great point, Billy! Fortunately, I thrive in figuring out the logistics, and so for me - it didn't feel like that was the hardest. But objectively, you are probably correct. Some people might find that the hardest part.

@12:15 your tales of the punishment torture make me smile. Really man against the sea kind of stuff.. Glad you got to experience it. That said, It is kind of like hitting yourself over the head with a hammer, it feels so good when you stop! Great narrative all the way around and over the daily reports.

Thanks Bill!! Now I know how you feel riding down on the Texas coast...

I tried to post a link and my post got deleted so I'm trying to post again again without the link and you'll just have to search it. John Moffatt, Associate Producer of the TV show Full House did the loop twice on a Jet Ski. Once in 2000(I think) in 80 days and once in 2007(I think) where he did most of the side trips for a mileage total over 11,500.

EXCELLENT!! Thank you so much for letting me know. That would make mine the 5th time it has been done -- but there HAS to be others too...?
