0:30 tamarind pulp, soaked (key ingredient)
0:44 Gather/prep main ingredients
1:10 Grind shallots and garlic to a paste
1:20 strain the tamarind solution
1:30 Malaysian fish curry powder(homemade recipe available)
1:40 Add water to make a spice paste
2:02 Heat oil in a curry pot
2:15 Fry tomatoes in a separate pan
2:56 mustard seeds
3:02 fenugreek seeds (key ingredient)
3:14 curry leaves
3:18 onion, sliced
3:25 Add the shallot-garlic paste
4:00 Add cooked tomato
4:17 splash of water
4:28 Add spice paste
4:50 Cook till oil separates
4:56 Add hot water
5:00 Add tamarind solution
5:07 Bring to a boil
5:15 Reduce heat and simmer for 7 minutes
5:32 Coconut cream/coconut milk
5:49 Stir and simmer for 1 minute
6:00 salt, to taste
6:04 Add fish
6:15 Return to a boil then simmer 8 minutes
6:30 Asafoetida (key ingredient)
6:44 Add boiled water to adjust the consistency
7:24 Add lady's fingers (vegetable) optional
