Our previous pastor has 7 children and all we’re doing something in the church. When they got old enough, several have left God. The oldest daughter is doing everything her dad preached against. I pray the lost children see the light and find God again.

As a pastor’s daughter, a late pastor’s granddaughter, a pastor’s sister, a pastor’s cousin, a late pastor’s niece, I can attest that this is spot on! I remember dating a young preacher when I was a teenager. My Dad and brothers did not care for him. I remember them saying that this young man was only dating me to get in with my father who was the bishop of fellowship of ministers. It made me feel so small like I wasn't worth being loved on my own. Really twisted and narcissistic thinking.

I would love to see you do an episode or more about the UPCI evangelist/missionary "biographies." I read a number of them and suspect they are all propaganda.

I remember my old pastor wanting to build a bigger building. And the pastors son who was our assistant pastor told the congregation that his dad told him, that if him and his wife didn't vote in favor of it he would no longer be the assistant pastor. I didn't think that was right.

Like Justin said the UPCI is stuck in the wrong covenant. They think they are Levites and as we know only Levites were in the priesthood and if you were a Levite man you could only be a priest. They don't say this, but this is one thing driving the "principle" behind the nepotism. In fairness to Nathanael Haney, he did work at some sort of secular job and made a good salary before he took over at CLC. He had a substantial home with property and sold it and donated $1,000,000 to help pay off the note on that new big building that was started when his dad was pastor. I think he knows he's not called but he obviously feels stuck. The only way the sons get out from under their fathers is to completely reject the family. I was able to walk away from this false church because I don't have relatives that are deceived and entangled in it, but people raised in it have a more difficult time admitting that their parents or other family members are wrong. I pray for all that are deceived about themselves, and God, that Jesus will open their understanding, and they will repent of continuing to promote or attend any artificial church system. I want Jesus to build the church because then and only then will the gates of hell not prevail against it.

Preachers should stick to the gospel and preaching the word in context. I see alot of selfish pride in these types of churches. I'm currently in one and I've noticed alot in the past few years....seems more and more is coming out. And they always wanna stomp the devil down. Why waste your time worrying about the devil ( kicking a dead horse so to speak) didn't Jesus already defeat the devil anyways?😅
