Probably the best & most comprehensive overview of dust control I've seen. Covered just about everything I wanted answers to. Many thanks ..... Geof

Nice presentation. It seems to me that you can’t go wrong with record equipment. Great video. 👍

Clearly better than anything in the same class of equipment we have available here in the USA, and very reasonable priced.

Hey there, I have the drum one on wheels, the DX3000, I’ve got the actual filters but are the bags regular paper bags or are they a “special” paper bag. I’m only asking as the sound has gone incredibly high, almost like it’s going to blow! Ive recently changed the 100mm hose for a standard 34mm hose. I’ve had it for over ten years although it hasn’t been used a lot until the last 3/4 years. It has been a brilliant little piece of equipment, truly brilliant & I’ll be lost without it. Any advice please? Superb video, if I didn’t have one already...I’d definitely get one off this video. Many thanks. Stay safe and well. Gail xx

Hello Gail, the paper bags a designed specifically for use with dust extractors, to give the 0.5 micron filtration. The higher pitch of the extractor during operation may be due to the filters needing to be changed and also the reduced diameter of pipe being used. Please try replacing the filters and using the standard 100 mm diameter hose and if the machine still sounds too high please call us on 01246 571 020 to discuss further.

@@RecordPowerTV thank you so much for your message and help, it has a relatively new filter, but I will definitely order some bags after Christmas (can’t afford them before, either presents or dust bags🤷🏼♀️⚖️💷😂). I noticed that the wiring was a bit dodgy at the black nut on the lid, so I spliced & soldered the wire and it’s purring like a kitten now. I “hope” it’s done the trick. I have now kept your number for future Issues. Once again THANK YOU for your help. Stay safe and well in these current times. Warmest wishes Gail x

Is there a similar video to this which covers the differences between the standard dust extractors and Record’s CamVac extractors?

Great Video, and now I actually understand fully what they all do, Thanks ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Defo ordering one for my new Bandsaw and possibly a second one for Tablesaw. 🍻

Hi, nice video. Quick question. If you can extract chips with the high pressure system, and also use it for power tools, why would anyone actually go for the other "chip only" system?

The filter cartridges you comment on for bag extractors can they be used for fine dust collection on circular saws and crosscut saws down to the 5 micron

Great Video - very informative. I have a question and would be grateful for your help. In the video you show an independent remote switching device. What is it called and where can one buy them? I have tried searching remote switching devices but have had no luck.

do you ship to the US and is there a 110v unit?

Hi Michael - Thanks for your message, we currently have our woodturning chuck system and carving packages available in the US but not the dust extraction machines.

It would have been useful to switch each one on to give an idea of the noise level of each type of extractor.

unless each unit was fitted with a microphone I don't think you could gauge anything from what would sound like background noise, I've 2 units now, they are loud and powerful, I was inspired to try a better dust extraction system than I've ever established before but after a few months I find often having a powerful clear up solution is better than trying to catch it as you go, if you see what I mean. Things like, cross pull/chop saws, table top saw, band saws, Belt sanders I don't find the collection/extraction worth the bother of hooking up the equipment each time,

It wouldn’t be much help to you because the loudness you hear would depend on your own pc’s volume setting.
