I also think she poisoned her daughter to make it appear she had severe pancreatitis. I looked up cases with anti freeze since they still make antifreeze that tastes sweet so it would not be detectable in a drink. And the symptoms of antifreeze poisoning can look like pancreatitis.

I haven’t listened to lori and Alex’s family because they’re ALL toxic. The phenomena you mention is how narcissists support their own because they view their children or siblings as extensions of themselves! So to have an evil child is to BE evil and they will never admit that. Lori and Alex’s parents raised monsters (because they too are minsters) and they won’t ever admit that. This is also why Emma can’t bring herself to admit what Chad really is- he is an extension of her. Notice a common theme: narcissists and their families don’t have ANY boundaries. The entire family unit acts as one entity. The parents have conditioned their children to be this way. My dad was a narcissist so I’ve learned a lot in therapy to better understand the psychology of why I am so codependent. Emma has the worst case of codependency I’ve ever seen. She acts like she can’t live a day without speaking to her father and she’s a grown woman. Chad did that to her.
