Hey Gordon and Sonny. So good of you to share your story as you go through this. I know from personal experience how challenging intestinal problems can be. I was bedridden for almost a year due to a combined infection of H. Pylori (stomach), parasites & Candida (intestines) back in 2013. This ordeal was my trial by fire into the world of functional medicine. It took me years to regain my gut health. My breakthrough came when I had a complex therapy with a German doctor here in Munich who treated me with a mix of allopathic & functional medicine. This doctor is a major leader in mitochondrial medicine here in Europe. Since my recovery I have been working with him and we are educating doctors over here about his approach. The biggest mistake being made is this: the focus is only on gut health, which is not enough. ALL the body systems that are struggling need to be treated at the same time: starting with cell membrane health (this is absolutely critical, think nutrients need to go in effectively & toxins need to go out), liver health (for biotransformation, regeneration & protein synthesis), inflammation control (due to the current chronic infections, this is the main reason for low energy), the immune system (to effectively and aggressively deal with infections), mitochondrial health (for energy production and immune system health) AND of course gut health. What has worked incredibly well for me as a base therapy has been amino acids in powder form or IV instead of protein for a while (excess undigested protein can lead to amonnia buildup causing a lot of serious problems that stop recovery) and cell membrane therapy in the form of phospholipids and omega 3's. In the case of biofilm therapy, there is an approach that mechanically dissolves the biofilm (due to a specific type of fiber) from the walls of the intestinal mucosa in 4-5 days. Before this happens, you need to take probiotics AND prebiotics to rebuild the healthy biofilm and gut microbiome. Please contact me, I'd be happy to share what I've learned from my own experience, what has worked. Obviously I'm not a doctor and don't want to pretend to be one on the internet, luckily I know a few who are really good at their craft. Good luck, Gordon, on your healing journey. You will learn so much about 21st century medicine and this will be very valuable to all your students in the future. My major take away from going though this was this: Always focus on the solution (healthy mitochondria and what they need to thrive) and not so much on the problem (the diagnosis and its disease mechanism). If the body has what it needs to heal and recover, it will do its job in due time. Regards, Matt

@jamiegarrison73288 ай бұрын
I had same problem but my stomach was paralyzed from damage to vagus nerve in neck,last option was a pace maker for stomach but in last ditched effort I tried dry needling to stimulate nerve and have had some luck
@fxmedaccelerate8 ай бұрын
@@bryceclark8985 Yes I did a 7 day maple water fast after Dr. Kharrazian , a functional medicine expert, which was incredibly effective to bring my inflammation down. I drank up to 3 liters of water. Per 1 l of water I added 1 tsp of high grade maple syrup to keep my blood sugar stable. Was the best fasting experience I ever had... Later on I did a very focused gut healing program to deal with the dysbiosis though.
@HoboGardenerBen8 ай бұрын
Man, that sounds horrible, glad you got better. I think dysbiosis is going to be more and more common because modern life encourages it on every level. Antibiotics, excess intake, low quality intake, and lack of time in nature to get the macro\micro biome reflection. I love working in a natural garden and get the dirt all over me and eat carrots without washing them, just brush them off. I see that as a sort of complicated probiotic. Otherwise I try to eat a lot of different plant fibers to encourage gut diversity so they make all their magic chemicals in there that help encourage homeostasis. Also stay hydrated, not drink chlorinated water, get good sleep, and playfully water fast every day for the last 10 years. Had appendicitis a couple years ago, had to take antibiotics, got diarrhea, probiotics taken in between rounds took it away immediately. Hasn't been a problem since but I figure I must have lost gut diversity.
@williamdias34568 ай бұрын
Hi there! I've been going through a challenging journey with gut health since contracting COVID-19 in 2021. Unfortunately, H. pylori wreaked havoc on my stomach, and any food I consumed would trigger severe flare-ups lasting for weeks. It was a difficult time, as I could barely eat anything. However, after being prescribed a combination of antibiotics and proton-pump inhibitors (PPIs), I was able to heal my stomach, but it seems to have disrupted the balance in my intestines. Recent stool tests revealed a significant overgrowth of bacteria that thrive on mycotoxins, so I suspect I might also be dealing with a yeast overgrowth. I'm reaching out to kindly ask for your guidance. Could you please share information about the specific fiber you mentioned that helps clear biofilm? If you don't mind, I'd also appreciate it if you could provide details about the prebiotic and probiotic protocol you found most effective. Additionally, any recommendations on supplements that could support my gut healing journey would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much in advance for your time and support!

Gordon! I'm kind of a new fan but your story has hit me (right in the gut). In my past I've had similar, out-of-control stomach issues and I feel your pain man. I'm about 10 years older and my gut got ripped apart in the 90's as a kid getting fed straight gluten and sugar. Add in a few crazy injuries and I'm in the same boat. Also I got pretty medicated as a teenager with massive amounts of anti-biotics to fix my (honestly, pretty minor) acne. Love you man and keep strong!
@moonrider998 ай бұрын
I'm a MD, this is not adding up. 1) I never heard of a case of streptococcal pharyngitis that took 1.5 months on antibiotics. 2) given Gordon's stomach issues and sensitivity to antibiotics, why the antibiotics were not administered by IV? That would have reduced the harm to his digestive system significantly. I think Gordon's went back on steroids, and it backfired.
@joshartmann94067 ай бұрын
My question would be why wouldn’t he say that that’s what it was then? He’s been open about using steroids and as far “going back on them”, he was probably juiced af at ADCC so seems more like he was using already. If something new triggered it I don’t get why he wouldn’t just say that.

Hey bro, I know exactly what you’re going through and have been through. Antibiotics killed me wipe the good and the bacteria out of my system. The bad bacteria grew quick overgrowing everything consequently, when that happened everything whole part basically went through exactly what you’re going through. Continue to go to doctors for what I was going through and they continue to give me antibiotics. Consequently, I developed candida ( yeast ) which burrowed into my esophagus and stomach lining. In order to eliminate the yeast, I was on a strict diet no carbs, sugars, refined anything. I also was taking powdered Diflucan after three months I was feeling a whole lot better and I saw a light at the end of the tunnel. the doctor in for me it’ll never go away. Since then, to keep everything at bay, I have abstain from anything sugar which activates the yeast. If you need more information, DM I hope you get better champ. It’s a long road.

Added a tin of sardines daily to increase D3. It's key. This has been a huge one for leveling up my constitution. 4. Added b12 B- Complex (B1,2,6, niacin, etc.) drops. Drops are easier on my gut than the yellow pills. 5. Added Celtic sea salt (just a few crystals) to my water for allowing my body to actually absorb the water I was drinking instead of it going right through me and pissing it all out all the time. I found I didn't have to drink as often. 6. Making sure to get my sodium/potassium balance and calcium/magnesium balance better via the above. 7. Go to sleep an hour earlier daily now. 8. Shut off my cell phone 4G as it was making me very tired mentally/physically. 9. Eat only unprocessed. No highly refined flours. They get stuck in the gut. Only take olive oil and coconut oil. 10. Keep out all toxins, (preservatives especially, chemicals, pesticides, all fake sugars like aspartame, etc. from my food and house). It all adds up. Get well. Oh and don't drink too much water during the meal. It dilutes your stomach acid which leads to gut permeability. Only drink a lot 30 minutes before and between meals.
