Alex Acuna is simply fabulous on drum as Mr. Lee on voice. Will i think you' re been the best bass for SRV. You're great.

Met Will early 80's NYC Eric's 88th & 2nd Ave George Young and US'N Friday and Saturday nights. Great jazz, smoked a joint with Will and his father in basement at Eric's one weekend. Great man. Thanks Will.

This song's arrangement is great; the upbeat chord progression, the transposition to the subdominant for the solos, pedal tones (Will and Robben), the full sounding instrumentation, the surprising fill between the vocals 1:00 and the perfect placement of the drum solo over an ostinato 5:38. Killer song!

Thank you- this band was so badass, I wrote this song the day before & the cats OWNED IT!!

@@LateShowBottomEnd Oh wow! Hello. The song is great and distinctive on its own but one day of preparation is impressive!

Alex Acuna! Three drummers have the "pocket" snare no matter how busy the song or the band sounds: Jeff Porcaro, Carlos Vega, and Alex. Pure music. Always amazing.

That intro is Alex at his best, while 3:37-4:16 is a masterclass in succinct phrasing by Robben Ford
@reggieboyd54445 жыл бұрын
I love Robben Fords playing, master class indeed! Too bad the camera angles sucked and we didn't get to watch him play.
@axsys21214 жыл бұрын
@crazybasskw Yeah, he definitely is. I first heard him on the Steve Kahn electric fusion albums from the late 70's. What a great band: Lee, Gadd, Grolnick, Brecker, Bob James produced the first album and played keys on it.

If you only knew how many national TV commercials Will Lee has sung on... That doesn't make him a "great" vocalist, per se, but it's nothing to sneeze at. You've heard him before, whether you know it or not.

Will has been playing with Paul Shaffer and "The worlds most dagerous band/ NBC Orchestra since 1982 and is the longest running member next to Paul. - (WIKI)- Letterman Drummer Anton Figg along with Will are two of the hadest working session guys in NY. (Both even helped ACE with his solo stuff)

You can see Will on David Letterman, at least for 5 seasons,, not sure who is playing now, but Will and the drummer from Lettermans band (Anton Fig) are 2 of the hardest working session guys in NY.
