You can build fields with the hoe (gains farming points by ploughing) then delete the fields with hammer (0.1.0.6 update included this) rinse and repeat, hope this help! (upvote so Kage sees)

You can clean yourself if away from home by just walking around in the deep water. This game is so damn good, probably one of the GOAT’s to date of early access titles. So deep man.

Loving the back to back vids of this game. A few more tips for ya. 1) the resource gathering npcs put everything they collect in the chests located in the buildings they work. Once the chests are full the npcs just walk around but don't do anything until you empty the chests yourself. Example: Lumberjacks collect 15 logs, 4 firewood and 40ish sticks before the storage is full and you need to empty it. 2) Npcs can occupy homes with no more than 2 adults per home and their sex doesnt matter. The bigger the home the more kids they can have (if it has been implemented yet). 3) The building hammer is an op melee weapon. Its fast and only takes 2-3 hits to take down a wolf and they usually only have time for 1 attack in that time. This will save you inventory space rather than spears and you don't have to run around collecting your weapons after. That being said I can't wait to see more of this series, I always enjoy watching you build bases/communities. Goodluck with your village bud! Edit: Forgot to mention that the resource storage/food storages do not abide by the weight limit it shows. I have over 1100kg in mine right now. Store as much as you want there.

also a tip, if you end the season somewhere you get teleported to your house. so if you end the season over encumbered you still go home. easy way to bring home giant loads of iron

I've started making wooden hoes to sell. 1 log and 10 sticks and sell them for 18g. With firewood, 1 log =8g and then 10 sticks = 10g, but as you craft the hoes, you get lighter instead of heavier and you still get crafting xp.

Take a scythe and use it on a different villages farms and is will get your farming skill up. Do it at night so no one will see you. there is a scythe you can steal in the starting village in the shack to the right by the farms.

the logging place even says you need to palce it within 50m of trees, same goes for the excavation thing Loving ur vids tho! Also you can gather unripe berries in spring and once it turns summer all the berries respawn again and u can gather berries :) double the profit friend! ;)

Also what I did, (scythe needed, and willing to lose 2-5 rep points) is right aftrt winter, in summer, run to the wheat field by the starting town and cut down the wheat and pick it up, I went from 29 to 100 real quick, got my hen house

From what I learned of others playing this, the single beds are for kids. Only 2 adults per house or rather the double beds can fit 2 adults.

If you see a wolf run away and howl, he will return a minute later with a couple friends. Had that happen to me the other day... nearly died to a pack of wolves, thinking I was only hunting one. It was a nice touch, really.... the animals seem to have unique/realistic behavior.

Yeah they consume firewood, the logs then sticks. So just make some firewood and put in there and they will stop draining the others

i have 1 tree in my town and the lumberjack worker just chops it for eternity and it never actually falls down. BTW the best way to make money is selling plantains, like a lot better than axes alone (you can do both at once). Rocks are easily found in the redwood forests or with a pickaxe. You wouldn't think plantains, but they're in huge clusters all around towns (use your sense[ALT]) and sell for 2 ea. You can get 1000's of gold pretty quick.

You can get workers with up to level 10 in skills. I made a girl from the first village my wife and she has 10/3/3/10/4/6. The highest levels may be limited to family members, or the skill level of who is available is connected to your dynasty reputation.

If you are using stones for making money, make knives (1 stone) instead of axes (2 stones). They sell for a little less, but you can make 2x as many due to the stones. But....the best money making I have found is going north to the cave (just a little north of the western of the two same-name towns, load up on iron, come back and craft all the iron hammers from it you can and sell those. I can make 1k+ for one trip doing that. Next playthrough I do I'll probably make my town up near that mine just to speed up that process, but it isn't bad already.

Man, best money is : go out to the starting town, south of that is their farm on the hill, with a a barn , a chest inside has like 15 tools, like 5 scythe, 5 axe and hoe and stuff... just rob them... I sold them and made like 1000 gold... u can make them not-stolen if u just use the item once (even just swing the scythe in the air makes it not-stolen)

So I do stone knives, 2 stones and 5 twigs. Weight 1/2 a pound instead of 2 1/2 per. I spend time some time out there not a full day though come back with about 40 of them to sell at one time. The weight part is a huge factor cause you can hold 5 knives (105 gold turn in) vs 1 axe (28 gold turn in)

Wanna cheese farming? Shed SE of starter town has Scythe in storage. You can harvest crops when they are ready. This is also a good way to start your own farm as you then can collect the various crops to thrash for seeds. Note: you can harvest the crops without consequence. Others are considered stealing.

You dont need manure in v.6 because you can just delete the old field with the building hammer and draw the field afterwards anew. a first time field does not need manure. so you dont need to waste money on that.

I made good money crafting throwing stones in the workshop, a bit heavy but sell for 5g a piece. 1 rock= 5 throwing stones so 1 rock is 25 gold so you don’t need many

Use the survival sense thing to look for the "broadleaf plantain" plant, it restores 10 hp and they're littered everywhere most seasons. They also sell for 2 gold and don't weigh a lot so you can make fast money just being a cow and grazing the different herbs.

So for hunting, headshots do more dmg (obviously) Wolves/Doe/Boars take 1 headshot to kill. Bears are roughly 3 and Wisent is 2 headshots with spears. You can destroy farmland with the destroy feature on hammer if you still don't know that one. I also found one of the sheds in the first town (left as you take the north exit) in the chest it had 5 iron hoes, 5 scythes and 5 stone hoes but the other shed (right) was empty. I would also like it if building farms weren't as restrictive. I built in a different spot and the farm is never aligned with the premade road

actually onion is great. i grown them in 4*4 and get almost 150 of them. and you can make meat with gravy with them. yes it sell for less and only +25 food. but it use roasted meat. the meaning is you can grinding your crafting this way.

You probably know this but unripe berries in spring sell for a gold apiece. Paid my 270 taxes in like 2 minutes just harvesting berries. I think it’s op but hey it works. Also byGostovia in the fields it has two small sheds. In one of them there is a chest with a ton of tools. You can sell them for line 850 if you don’t keep any of them.

you can put woodshed far from your town and it will still work. i put mine kinda in the middle of the map. you just have to mind the distance of the trees from the woodshed and not the woodshed from your town.

Simple house are for 2 adults and 2 babies. Just get small house 2 adults and 1 baby. I think you need iron axe for more woods gathering from villager.

if you want some free farming skill ups, grab some scythes and go cut the NPC farm fields on the south side of the main city. You can cut it, but don't pick up the rye/wheat that drops, and it won't ding you since you aren't technically stealing anything.

Finally built a wood shed, built it in some trees, got a worker and now I get 19 logs a day that I don't have to bloody chop down. Damn lumberjack simulator. (Btw, check the shed occasionally. The logs aren't supposed to go in there, but sometimes they do, along with the sticks and some firewood)

As i know, to hire fifth person it require 350 dynasty reputation. And each excav skill point give you 0.4 log/h, witch mean 1.6/h for 4 and 2/h for 5 skill point worker. The highest skill i have ever seen is 7. Also they need wood to keep themsive happy, that's where your sticks go.

Build a smithy by the cave opening so you can harvest iron and smith tools instead of lugging iron ore back and forth.

It’s easier for you to harvest the iron ore and go straight to the smithy and build your iron tools to sell instead of harvesting iron and carrying only a few pieces all the way back to your settlement. Also if you build a resource storage close to the mine and one back at your settlement the storages are linked so you can build as many tools as possible then put them in resource storage and you’ll be able to access them back at your settlement.

I never even experienced the cold temperature effect that late did because the tutorial quest he hasn't completed gives fur boots and fur hood. The game holds your hand a little too strongly so there's a lack of difficulty and freedom. And you have to do the tutorial quests to gain those large chunks of rep required to expand your settlement.

Small house allows 2 adults and 1 child, the next size up allows 3 adults 2 children i believe

Do NOT build buildings you do not need. I have 4 extra villagers, each with their own job but have less than half the tax you have. As far as I can tell so far, the only tax you pay is for the buildings you own. Did not notice any changes when it comes to fields (not saying it's 100% true). When you get to better farming/crafting you can sell stuff by the ton. Also, go for a headshot with animals which is especially easy with the ones that attack you cuz they run at you, (duh!) so that would be boars, bison, wolves and sometimes foxes (sometimes they come at you if you don't one-shot them). You can also down deer with one spear to the head. Also also, if you don't trust your aim (for headshots) go for the legs. I noticed all animals (except for wabbits cuz they kinda go down in one spear as long as you hit them) are slowed down if you hit a leg (best when you're running low on spears cuz you can just finish them off with the stone axe/hammer/pickaxe, difficult with fists but not impossible).
