Ok one more time. I have read in forums that dressing nice affects your diplomacy and how much increase you get from talking and flirting. Just what i read tho. Loving this stuff

To change someone to another task in the same building (eg. Farmer to Field Worker) you need to clear their work task on the Management screen by pressing X. Then you can immediately assign them back at that same building. It's a little convoluted, but it's fewer steps than assigning them to a whole different building first. The UI in this game definitely needs some work! It's good the farmers do actually work now but they still don't get anything done if you leave the villager's load range. Sometimes I've noticed they won't even work unless I'm looking right at them. For that reason it's a good idea to save certain time-consuming, village-centred tasks (construction, high-volume smithing, threshing etc) until a season that's very field-focussed, like Spring, so that you never leave the villagers' load range, but you're not just standing there wasting time. Save all your adventuring/mining/hunting, and other jobs that require you to leave home for long periods, for low-intensity farming seasons. Also, long-term moneymaking tip - FLAX FLAX FLAX. Once the flax is threshed, you get the Stalks and the Seeds, the seeds sell for 4 gold each and they weigh almost nothing - I have 100 tiles of flax farm, after a couple of harvests I made like 4000 gold selling flax seeds. Wheat grain sells for the same amount if I'm not mistaken. Also final note, anybody who tells you the iron tools aren't worth it is full of crap, it is 100% worth it imo. Once you're at the point where you can gather iron quickly, the extra cost doesn't really mean much, and the added speed and durability of the iron tools makes life soooooo much easier.

try this clay stuff on your housewalls for happyness the iron tools are not that bad i use the pick, the axe and the scythe and i dont want to be a spammer but one more time at spring you grab yourself 2 scythes go to the starting towns fields and cut it all down colect it all when noone is around (like nighttime) and sell it if you want to cheese it more make a quicksafe after you cut down the field and load it the npc field has regrown and you can cut it down over and over again with the stuff still on the ground

I think side quests expire at the end of that season. So you need to stock pile some berries for when they want them out-of-season. Three times I've been asked for berries in Autumn And once in Spring.

I would like a hand cart to start with then either a horse or ox drawn wagon to set up trade routes to the other towns easier than by foot. Hopefully they add them into the game soon.

I end up with so much leather I just make simple sacks and sell them. May be something better but that works and you can hand craft if needed The iron tools arent bad. I guess people like to complain. They have more durability and their faster and they mainly take only 2-4 iron. it is worth it since the axe takes only three hits to take down a tree and the hammer works faster.

Iron ax isn’t bad! It certainly lasts longer and takes trees down in 3 swings. Splitting is a couple extra. Haven’t seen the iron hammer yet.

Yeah there definitely needs to be some passive/incidental way of earning Reputation. I get that they want it to be a long game, like maybe the devs don't want you getting to the City level until the third generation or something, but the way it is now is just ridiculous - especially since so many of the features are currently under-developed.

If you play Forest feudal village, it almost have same mechanism on how happiness works on this game, basically fine clothes, cozy house, foods and some recreation area will make them happy

You want to see yourself? they added FOV option, change it to 100 and you will be able to see more of your body. Also helps if, like me, you get headache for playing too long on lower fov

Iron tools are totally worth it, as long as you can easily get the iron. The axe takes fewer hits to down a tree and the durability on the hammer is worth it. The knife is lighter and better too. Fewer iron pikes rather than carrying so many spears is worth it in weight alone.

I made a really quick buck gathering branches as you get 2-3 per sapling and if you find a lot of them, that's a couple hundred gold in a few minutes time.

Kinda reminds me of runescape where raw resource like uncut gems are worth a lot more than processed gems that you cut and in some cases depending on the jewelry even the jewelry can sell for less than the cost of the uncut gem to make it not to mention you need gold or silver too. sometimes enchanted jewelry sells for less than the unenchanted jewelry despite it taking up more resources.

the linen machine and the fabric machine are kinda the raw materials neede to make clothes like tunic , shirts etc.

Weirdly, everything seems to require leather, even the fur clothing, and quite a lot of it. I think it's like 20-30 leather for a pair of boots or something.

well yeah, fur clothing isn't just a shit ton of fur taped together you pretty much make a leather jacket and stitch fur hide onto it, line the inside with fur ect. although the 20-30 leather for boots is insane, I work with leather and I can make a bunch of clothing with just 1 deer skin

Iron tools are the best way I found to make money - but i use the teleportation at final season to arrive in house with a inventory crowded by ore and stone.

Metal axe is a time saver as it just needs 3 hits on a tree instead of 5 and so less stamina usage. in my eyes ... worth it.

when you were checking the price of knives , the 1 knife = 21g was 200% value were regular knives 100% =11g is normal price. as for using leather to make simple bags 3 leather = 11g slightly better than selling leather. it may better to sell bows but you need 1 thread

The crafting ratios and prices are junk, but yeah, make backs for dosh. leather sells for 2, bags take 3 leather and sell for 11 (3.666 gold/leather) You just gotta make the products to find the final value, see what it actually sells for, and if it pays more per leather than other things.

Upgrade the peoples homes to stone, then add daub, my villagers are currently 63% happiness. The tavern is a tax waste dude and it takes forever for npc’s to cook as opposed to you just doing it. Should have waited to build the tavern 2 which has an oven for breads & pies but I can’t make buckets, as buckets of water are needed for baking recipes.

iron tools are more durability but it could be longer, if you struggle for iron, then don't make them but if you have a mine for workers its worth it.

Where did you put the tools when they started working, in the barn? I think for optimize the selling you need to find the stuff that has the least weight per money and you can produce in good quantity. Could also optimize per worktime or depending on where you have to many ressources. But when you say automated the most valueable ressource is probably you bringig it to the vendor.

Iron Tools - I've only watched other play this but from what I've seen, I'm not sure the iron tool are worth it. They maybe faster (i.e. ax faster at cutting down trees) and maybe a little bit durable but I feel like the iron tools are not as durable as they should be. For what it costs to make an iron tool I still think they degrade to fast. Unless the recent update changed something. What I think they need is to allow you to repair iron tools. Then it would make more sense. Stone tools you can't repair but iron tools you can for a small price.

Iron tools are awesome and you'll never change my mind on that! They're way faster, they last much longer, some even give you a higher yield - for instance the Iron shovel lets you get a maximum of 12 clay from a clay deposit, compared to the wood shovel's maximum of 10. After a certain point, the higher cost of making them is hardly noticeable, especially because the higher durability means you don't have to stop and make a new one anywhere near as often.

YES all your skilled workers need tools. Hunters need bows and arrows stocked. Farmers need their tools and woodsmen need axes.

They should develop more of a medieval economy. Rather than being forced to trade in gold (which was almost nonexistent then) we should be able to trade in cabbages or eggs. And when will be able to breed animals. I have a hog and a sow and they ain't interested in each other at all.

I love this game BUT it seems now that you cant get the tavern until you have 10k tech points 🙈 yet there are still level 1 skills like cooking that you are supposed to advance at the tavern stove. What am i missing? How do you get the tavern without waiting until near end game?

my management screens look different than yours. I cant see what any of my workers are doing. Do you have a different version or did this change? So I just noticed there are two "buttons" you can click on above the screen. I feel so dumb for not seeing that b4
