Pro tip for everyone. At the end of a season you get teleported to your house. So go out on the last day in a thick woods or the mines. Collet a shit ton of rocks or logs. Stack them up in a pile on the ground, before the night ends pick up everything in the pile. You'll be over 500 kilograms or more. Then you get teleported to your base with all the material. Dump it out onto your house floor in increments you can move it. You'll have so much material. Seriously a game changer! Please thumbs up this so ppl can see it.

@@liormanashirov9802 At the end of evey season. They're 3 days to each season. The last night of the season, when it gets dark you will get teleported back home. There is an indicator at the top middle of the screen. When it's all the way at the end is when you get teleported.

@Kage848 Here are instructions for the best way to get rock and iron (and salt). Spend every 3rd day of a season in a mine/cave. After I arrive and remove any bears I drop all my weapons at the entrance. Have 2 pickaxe, a full torch and a full water skin, that should be enough to break all the nodes. If you start at night (before the 3rd day) focus on breaking all the nodes - they're easier to see. When daylight comes go around picking up everything. Find a flat location halfway down the mine to drop everything on the ground. You can consolidate these piles by picking them up and re-dropping everything in 3 neat stacks that are close enough together to pick up all 3 without moving. Before hour 24:00 you must pick up everything. You will be insanely overburdened, but you will be teleported back to your house for the start of next season and you'll have everything you were holding. Drop it in your house. You can leave it there or transfer it to storage. I haven't seen anything you've "held" in your inventory disappear off the ground after dropping. I randomly find spears in the woods all over the place. Usually I get around 240 iron and upwards of 400 stone. I don't focus on salt, but I have plenty. Additionally, I build a wash basin outside each cave because who wants to be a dirty miner? If you start a little earlier (mid 2nd day) and choose to go to the north cave you can make runs to sell salt to the two nearby villages for around 300g per short run (66 salt). For making the best money you can get the recipe to make 50 iron arrows. 10x iron and 10x stick turns into 50 iron arrows. At 7g each that's 350g. 200x iron and 200x sticks is 1000 arrows. They weigh very little, so I run around to all the towns and sell 1000 arrows per season for 7,000g. I tell myself I'm single-handedly arming England's archers for war. Thank you for this very instructional video. I had no idea how to upgrade my houses. Anyone know how to make salted meat, or the bread recipes? I have the recipes but can't find a crafting station that makes them. Maybe it takes tavern level 3?

as i know you can make salted meat in level 2 hunting cabin. From same amount of iron but less sticks you can make iron hammers that sell 70g a pop (10 iron and 5 sticks to make 5 hammers 350g) more weight tho.

In real life, they use daub to pack the walls on the weaved stick looking walls, it is an upgrade, however a log house is packed with moss in the seems to plug the holes. Think the developers knew this when creating the game

Its a moot point for most players, you can't make Daub until you unlock Goose building in the Farming tree...took a few years for me.

You can upgrade it in top tier. After getting lvl3 you can run almost the entire distance between 2 towns on 1 bar of stamina...

Something i have noticed. Towns will start new farm plots and grow. Like the town you at the beginning you gave him 40 logs to build defenses against wolves. If you go back to Denica it has Palisades walls now.

Wattle is woven sticks/branches, usually covered in daub, a kind of plaster/render. Normally hear it said together, 'wattle and daub'. Would be cool to introduce hedgelaying, its something done in the UK, creating living fences (usually for livestock) around a field.

Wattle and Daub was a common primitive building method for making quick and easy buildings. Your houses were made of just wattle (sticks woven into slats) the daub is like filling the wall with cement or plaster.

Love the series. Few things to help. 1. You set her to Farmer instead of Field Worker. 2. You should try putting someone on that second Woodshed. 3. Go south of the First town along the walkway. When you get into the forest start looking around that is the forest type that spawns tons of rocks. 4. Try taking some of those logs and turn them into firewood, To keep the house warm they are burning all your sticks cause there is no firewood. Order goes Firewood > Sticks > Logs.

tip for stone in absolute bulk... bring what you need to make a stone firepit and set it in the mine. grab some pickaxes(id say around 4 to be safe. spend a while season in the mine, bringing the rocks to the fire pit and dropping them, going getting more, repeat. spend the nights in the mine.. at the end of the season before you sleep, pick up everything at once and sleep. you wake in your house at the start of a new season, and you have what you mined in the mine. i got 100 stone, 300 iron and 600 salt. would have had more stone, but i wasnt wasteing time gathering it all at the end so i could get more iron.

Daub is a type of plaster and can be used to insulate/strengthen walls. The next upgrade would act like placing wood panneling on the outside after. You get more stones by rivers. Your people in order: 6, 5 Crafting/Hunting, Excavating Hunting, Gathering Farming, Deplomacy/Excivating First can be on worshop, tavern, hunting lodge (hunting), mine, woodcutting Second can be on hunting lodge (hunting or gathering) or fishing hut Third can be on Farm, Barn, Animals, Mine, Woodcutting, Food storage, Resource Storage.

Daub is a mixture of animal manure, mud and straw, sort of a primitive caulking for the wattle... Hence, wattle and daub. Was much cheaper than wood at the time as sawing logs was super labor intensive and rarely done because the tools didn't exist, really, for the average person.

Kage, there are 4 caves, you can build a resource storage shed near a cave and it cloud saves the inventory. There is a cave between Branica and Baranica that has a nice flat spot.

Wattle & daub was the go to method of building in the medieval period, easiest in terms of materials as logs were so heavy (hmm, the game managed to be pretty accurate). They were an upgrade just as shown in the game. The next and last step was to whitewash them with quicklime, made from limestone.... I wonder if they'll have that upgrade as well?

I noticed on my game that field workers are pretty slow when you are not around. If you are watching them they work way faster.

I have a small town with 11 inhabitants (including myself) and currently have 2 small wood-houses with wood-roof and 3 middle stone houses with the best roof you can get. I have recently started to upgrade the walls with mud to improve the overall quality (missing 2 1/2 of the stone houses now) and could reduce the wood consumption down from 2.8 per hour to 2.1 while the satisfaction went up by roughly 5-6 %. I don't know why, but both house types can only accomodate 2 workers eventhough the middle house has two single-beds and a double bed available (so one more single bed compared to the small house). I hope that this is a bug that will be addressed in future, though currently, while being able to place up to 20 buildings, each of them adds up additional taxes which needs to be earned throughout the year and the returns on farming products or leather/cloth-products or other things is rather small in all honesty. I only get roughly one fourth of the general value which is a bit ... sad. Also, the wood consumption per inhabitant seems to be a bit off. 2.1 wood per hour means like chopping 13 trees a day (!) and converting them to firewood if a day consists of 24 hours (not checked yet) regardless if it is summer or winter. The woodcutter hut I only produces like 0.8 firewood a day even when placed in the forrest and nothing but trees within 50m in direct vicinity. A second one would still not be enough and furthermore require an addition worker which I have already not enough of. Adding more houses though just increases the taxes to be paied while also increasing the wood-demand further. Not providing enough wood immediately leads to a dropp on their sattisfaction by like 20 % in my game, which is a bit much to start with. I think the devs need to recalculate some things and reduce the amount of wood needed in summer notably or increase the number of wood obtained by the woodcutter hut. Also, there seems to be a bug in the game where on reloading the game, active quests give a reduced amount of reward. I.e. I had to kill 8 boars, bears, woolfs which initially should grand 25 dynasty rep, 200 Gold and some other stuff and after reloading I only gained 1 (!) dynasty rep and nothing more. The problem is, if you assign new workers to jobs, you need to reload the game in order for them to pick up their tasks otherwise they don't do anything for seasos. I know this is still alpha / early access and the game is already quite stable, though I hope the devs will address these issues quickly as they change the way the game is played considerably, IMO.

Build a resource storage close to the mine and you can get all the rocks you need super quick. The resource storage buildings link so anything you put in the one near the mine will also be available at your village. Thank me later lol

if you build them with wood it still upgrades with daub so im not sure there is a reason to build log walls other than looks. also there is more clay over on the other side of the starter town, basically just below the bridge

Nan I I'm speculating, based on the games current focus. I suspect that any bandits would be more a territorial, or storyline, obstacle then aggressive raidiing. The existing wildlife isn't invasive so far so they would likely use similar modelling.

Yea build excavation shed and switch off your lumberjack to which ever you need atm. Otherwise, it comes down to knowing the map. Usually rocks are common in thick forest areas and around rocky hills. From your playthru, Id say go NW of your town.

Kage, I've been binging this series, finally got the time, and I gotta stop and comment on this. Man, if you are trying to improve their mood why in the world would you start out doing something that is guaranteed to make them unhappy? Why not build a 'starter house' for new people to stay in until you get a good house built, or just build a better house separately and then move them into it? Also, can you upgrade just a wall at a time? Why not upgrade a house a wall at a time until it gets great then move them into it? Just very flail-y doings on your part, it's cool to watch you explore what is and isn't possible, but come on dude!

You can find a lot of rocks near mountains and slopes, where there are big stone formations that require a pickax. You can't find theme because you are in plains and forests biomes. It's difficult to make a multiplayer mode to such a game and if they didn't think of multiplayer from the begging of development it might be very tedious and time-consuming to remake a lot of parts of the project to implement it.

Farming is the 1 job best done by the player I think. Even though the NPCs don't use tools, seed, nor manure they are just TOO SLOW. I just set aside the entire Spring for harvesting and planting and use leftover time for making food for the entire year...just like a real medieval Spring I guess.

On the women's home try replacing each wall one at a time rather than breaking them all down at once. Make sure you have the material to complete that one wall. If you have to leave it to go collect more material or what ever, you aren't leaving them homeless - if the game lets you do that.

If u ever need too do mass gathering where you know carry weight is a issue IE rocks lol. Go on day 3 of the season, have 10 sticks and fill ur pockets full literally like 1000 rocks lol then build a fire sleep and ur tped home.

@Kage848 I gathered over 100 stone inside one of the iron mines. What I did is I mined until I was too heavy to run then id go drop it all at the entrance to the cave. Over and over. I did this on the LAST day of the season. The reasoning is because once a season ends you are teleported home. So mine as much as you can, leave it at the entrance then hurry and pick it all up right before the day ends. OR you can place a firepit at the entrance and sleep through the night once you've gathered what you want. My ending haul was 241 Rock, 72 Iron, and 192 Limestone.

You have to wait for the home or building to fall below 50% condition. Walls and such will turn red at 49% allowing you to repair them. They won't all break at once though so you may find yourself returning after a few minutes with more to repair.

If you go through the first starting town and get to the bridge. Turn south and there is clay just a couple 100 yards away in the forest. Also I have a gal at 100 and 60 affection and still 0 chance to marry. Both need to be 100?

I noticed yesterday, they have an edit "e" key when you look at the building zone with the hammer. Now I'm curious what the villagers stats would be if the building was already upgraded, when they move in.

My boyfriend set up a macro on my mouse that clicks e repeatedly, so I just need to walk around the woods and it automatically picks up sticks and stones and feathers etc without me doing anything. It doesn’t work for mushrooms cos there you need to hold e but it’s a great help for me 😈

I had a house frame in my village with the intention of completing it and recruiting a new neighbor. I got sidetracked and ended up accidentally inviting someone thinking " well, the house isn't built so they won't come". I was wrong. They joined and I hauled butt back to my village, which was super far to complete the house. She ended up arriving and sitting on the floor all the while losing happiness. I finished the house and managed to save her. I should marry her.

first they say in message boards don't help with their farming it messes with the AI ... then if you are upgrading a house just don't destroy more than you build, the house might be weird but it still should work yes?

Head shots can kill animals one shot, I've killed Deer, Foxes and Boars with one hit to the head.

If you go to the local files of the game in steam, like roght click the game then go to local files, there will be a supporters map
