Had the bow set up at a pro shop. It performed just fine kzbin.infoUgkxQEKUoxLWwayEDZR0NKB-5limn4MBU-2L . And I would say this is a good starting now that I could pass down to my son when he is older. But the package was missing the release and a nock was missing from one arrow.Dealing with customer support was terrible. They suggested I buy a new release rather than correct their own quality control issue because it’s to expensive for the. to ship it out from China.Update: manufacturer got back to me and resolved the issue. I retract the above statement.

Thank you for bringing us along on this trip. Hunting with traditional gear is a challenge to say the least. Capturing it on film for us at home makes it even more challenging. Great video, I appreciate the time and effort Clay. You have A fantastic attitude towards finding reward in the pursuit as much as the harvest , but I know the sting of a failed stock or missed shot as well. You handled it like a true ambassador to our life style of being a hunter .

None of us have any idea the quantity of sheer work and effort this 21 min video required. THANK YOU for taking me along on that hunt. It was so fun, and I was rooting hard for you, but nonetheless you did NOT fail! The knowledge and experience you gained from that hunt will be an important part of your imminent success. I hunt much like you, but in the eastern woods, and with a compound bow. On that note, I've decided the compound is a very poor choice for this kind of hunting. I would love some input on how to go traditional. Great job!

Man, what a heart breaker of a stalk. I have been there on many times. I don't think I have ever been successful on a stalk with a bow. Have been on a rifle stalk or two, but never with a bow. Just last October, I was there with my recurve and just as I was ready to pull the bow back, I could feel the wind hit the back of my neck and, well, you know the rest of the story. I feel your pain and it really makes me want to go back. Great hunt.

After watching your videos and a few others, I have made colorado over the counter elk hunt added to my list for 2021. I figure it will give me some time to get in better shape and get in some more shooting time for the trip. I am still planning on making my own bow for the trip, I plan to start making one right after this season is over here in my state. I also appreciate you showing us the misses and letting us know what happened, I would have never thought about trying to shoot like that, so thank you. Thanks for your videos being made so real. You rock sir. I love the fact you are not wearing 1500 dollars worth of camo clothing the average guy cant afford with out going to the bank to take out a loan, sheesh, half the reason I want to make a bow, I think I can afford to do that. I seen them both, and looked them up and down, roughly 14" diameter and straight, I know right, pretty straight, only one or two limbs at the 7-8' high mark. I think it would make me a good one. That is another one of my goals, make my own bow to hunt elk with in 2021. :) Have a blessed week sir. Keep up the fun videos. dale
