Ah, don't wanna make any assumptions without seeing at least part of it in action, temp gauges included. Tbh, that better be a smooth ass road, I'd be worried about the tires the most as that'd likely pose the most danger to the driver. At least they're all mid-rear engined, so if something blows in that department, it shouldn't impede your visibility.

To people saying that the F1 car felt slow, it is meant for cornering, not straight line speed, so it has a lot of downforce in it, which hinders the ability to be faster in a straight line, on corners, downforce is good, but on straight line, it's useless

The F1 car has plenty of straight line speed, especially when you realise that the McMurtry has a 150 mph limiter (at the moment). The Rimac can handily beat the F1 car on top speed, but over a quarter of a mile, will get nowhere near it's maximum or that of the F1 car. The problem that the F1 car had was mostly grip from a standing start, especially with relatively cold tyres and no real downforce for the first few seconds. The McMurtry has 2 tonnes of downforce from the start using those fans and the Rima is four wheel drive. The two electric cars also have a lot more torque at low revs, and the grip to use it.

There's no argument, both of these cars are extremely impressive to take on the fastest f1 champion car.. I would love to see what happens on a an F1 GP circuit, like maybe Silverstone.. I'm fairly certain they wouldn't stand a chance at beating the Red bull.. but I would love to see how these cars handle breaking, and acceleration on tight corners, or going through a chicane.. I'd be really interested to watch them trying to overtake each other on a circuit like that..

How warm were the tyres on the F1 car? And how new/old? I used to race single seaters and ran on secondhand slicks. When cold, or even just a bit warm, I could keep my right foot still and simply curl my toes to light up both rear tyres. Similarly, I could turn the steering wheel and nothing would happen. Once up to full operating temperature, the grip was incredible, but that took about a lap or two....

Batteries don't last forever...neither do brakes or electric motors. Electric cars are not any cheaper to service in the long run. To have usable range you probably have to change the whole battery pack every 4-5 years which will cost as much as changing the whole motor on a normal car.

@300mrwa 2010 wants their information back! Most manufacturers have 8-10 years/150-200k miles warranty on battery and motors. Good luck getting such a warranty on a gas guzzler... Example: Model S/X Plaid have 1020 horsepowers. You can launch it non stop every day for 8 years/150k miles and still have full warranty on battery and motors. And solid state million mile batteries are expected to arrive soon.

That sounds like great warranty until you understand the fact that changing the entire battery modules cost more than half of the entire car price. Meanwhile the average Toyota can run as long as you want to if you take care of them, and what i mean by take care of them is just changing oil regularly and regular maintenance that you can do it yourself. My uncle have this old isuzu diesel pick up with zero mileage on it. The old champ been running for so long it’s odometer flipped back to zero, he recently do some restoration work on it the whole build cost no more than 3k.

Refurbished batteries are available for a way cheaper price from third party resellers in case it breaks down after warranty expires. They'll trade you for your used one, fix the few broken cells, and it's ready for another vehicle. Bosch autoservice has done this for years in Norway. Also, 93% of all sold new cars in Norway are electric, so it won't take long before fossil fueled cars will be something belonging to the previous generation, or collectors

@@apekatt2007 because it’s not a lifetime warranty, are you for real? The warranty last for 8 years or 160k km whichever comes first. That means when you reach 160k km you’re on your own if something happens to your battery. 160k km is nothing for daily driven vehicle. To give you some perspective, I commute 120km daily, that means if i use tesla I would ran out of warranty in just little over 3,5 years, and after that if something happens to my battery it’s gonna cost me more than half of the entire car worth of money. Ofc all of that are the worst case scenario, the best scenario you mightn’t even need to replace your battery for more than decade. But what’s the worst case scenario on ice car? Even the worst case scenario on ice still wouldn’t cost you more than half of your car worth in 3 years. Don’t get me wrong, ev are great. And I would switch to ev sooner or later. But I wouldn’t switch until they found some solution for this battery modules price, longevity, and durability.

Rb8 stays with the Nevera for a significant amount of time in the rolling race until downforce at the top end comes into play and the Nevera leaves it in the dust (The Spéirling is not even in the picture due to it’s gearing). And the brake test is quite obvious, the Rb8 wins it with the Spéirling not too far behind and the 2.3 ton Rimac is miles away.

a modern hybrid F1 car with warm tires would be much more interesting to see. But nevertheless, F1 cars biggest weakness is their launch, since they have a manual clutch, no traction control, rear wheel drive and cold tires. They are designed for track use, grand prix tracks in particular.

​@afokabest the Venom GT geared for top speed though? That's like saying Koenigsegg's are bs because they don't run super quick 1/4 times. And the Venom still traps like 165mph in the 1/4 and is RWD. The Nevera is obviously at a huge advantage being electric with 100% torque at 0 RPM plus AWD. I'm not a big fan of the Venom just stating facts. I am a huge Koenigsegg fan though.
