Love the video, random question regarding the PS4 controller you're using, is it as simple as plugging the controller to your PC via USB/Bluetooth to play games with it? Or did you have to go and download some stuff on the internet to be able to play games on PC with it?

WhiteWolf I simply just plug it in and it works. No need to go the extra steps. Keep in mind, i am using rockstar launcher version, not steam or epic games.

hard game to run max setting, i also have the same system as you do but cpu oc to 5.2@1.35v and gpu is also oced +125 core and +250 mem, settings are all ultra but advanced setting is set to all high, stable 75hz-100hz except in Saint Denis where sometimes it will drop to high 60's on a 2560x1080p 75hz

That's pretty good already bro! You can always cap your FPS at the lowest FPS that you notice when you play the game. That way, when you go to Saint Denis, it will be really smooth with no drop FPS. I cap mine at 60 FPS with all Ultra settings + Resolution Scale set to like 1.5x (it looks amazing)

Veronica Maple Hello, for this game with everything maxed out, i got around 75-85 fps. That is with all the shadow settings and advanced settings maxed out too. If you’re just gonna be using 1080p monitor, then 2080 is good. You can always adjust certain settings to achieve 100fps. But with G-syn enable, you won’t notice a big difference. If you’re thinking of upgrading to 1440p then 3000 series is better. Hope this helps!

No. But you've asked a specific questions - "max out." You need to understand that there are some settings in games like this that will murder your framerate without any real noticeable difference in the game. Turning down a few settings to high will let a 2080 super hit over 100fps with any difference in screenshots needing a side by side comparison... in other words you can't tell the difference in game. IF, and thats a big if, you need truly "max out" settings then only a 3080 or 3090 will satisfy you. But frankly, if you're gaming on a 1080p monitor all of these cards are a waste of money, imo. Save some money get a 2060 super or 5700xt for now and then get a 3080 when they're in stock (and not >$1000 on ebay) and use the saved cash to get a 1440p gsync/freesync monitor. You'll also get the benefit of seeing how good big Navi is before a major purchase. Just one man's opinion. :)

I am using MSI afterburner to tune my fans. 0-40 degree My fans always run at 35%. 40-60 degree, 35%-55%. Anything more than 60 degree. I set them at 60% max. I was averaging around 70 FPS with all my hardware OC except for the RAM. I think you would average maybe 3-6FPS more than my system with the i9-9900k. Also, I cap my FPS at 65 on ultra for the smoothest experience. Let me know how it goes.

Hello there, as far as I know, the Benq Xl2546 will have some screen tearing if you run it at 240hz and play games that have less refresh rate than that. You can go to the Nvidia Control Panel to adjust the refresh rate to some what match with the game FPS. With that, you will experience less screen tearing. Or, you can download programs to force V-sync.

Can you explain why you have both TAA and FXAA enabled at the same time? Doesn't this not actually work? Like one will take priority and the other is actually disabled?

Oh, I might have forgotten to turn off the FXAA. But regardless, turning that on at the same time with TAA does not have any effects at all.

TAA works in tandem with FXAA. A few games have this option. Rage 2 for example turns on both them when selecting the maximum configuration instead of manually adjusting.

@ I only just worked how to read the MSI results... My bad mate. The D3 d12 confused me... As it was giving frams or showing them. But the real time FPS was coming from the FPS counter which is called (fps). Which is the same as mine, but the D3d12 as higher... like two reasons... Very confusing.

Untold Story lol. Not a problem mate. I figured you didn’t see the description. So the D3D12 is the average fps during the duration of the game play. Basically, I wanted to show the average FPS for the gameplay instead of just the FPS. Hope that makes sense.

Really? Make sure all your drivers are up to date. Also, what monitor are you using? There is another option you can try. You can up the resolution scale up to like x1.25 or something. You will get a bit less FPS. Cap it at like 60 and enjoy a much clearer image.

Hey, can someone help me out? I’ve been a console gamer all my life and have been thinking of building my on PC. The only problem is the PS5 is coming round the corner. Even if it was £550, that would still be killer value. The PC setup I want is just about £2000 with the RTX 2080 Super and the i7 9700K. Should I wait or not?

If it's not an urgent buy for the PC, I would say wait, mate. I've been a console player too (PS4). I only recently built my PC in August 2019. That's because I also need it for work as well and slowly, I transitioned into PC gaming. I haven't touched my PS4 since. But, there are titles that I still want to play like The Last of Us 2 that's coming out and Days Gone. But again, all the graphics I see on my PC now is just too good. But you can wait and see what the PS5 can do before making a decision.

Something teraflops which is in between the RTX 2070 and 2080 Super. By the way, if you have a 1440p monitor, can you tell the different between 1080p? I’ve never upgraded my PS4 so I’ll never know.

@@arthurmorgan6127 1440p gaming would be where the sweet spot is for PC gamers. If you have the money to get something like 1440p 165hz 1ms IPS G-Sync, along with the right hardware from your PC, then the experience will make gaming that much better than consoles. But those monitors costs just as much as a PS5 or more. Therefore, if you're looking for a full PC gaming experience. You will eventually have to spend a lot more. Whereas, a PS5 and a nice tv or monitor would do. I hope you see the point I am trying to make.

i have rtx 2080 super @ 1930mhz coreclock while gaming and 7500mhz memory while gaming and a ryzen 5 3600 at 4.2ghz on all cores and i get 50-60 fps on these same settings. is this because your gpu is running using a higher OC or your cpu running at 4.8ghz or both?

It's both. I overclocked my GPU as well as CPU. Also. You're running a Ryzen 5. This game benefits higher core counts too. So that's why u see the difference.

Yes, you should be good. Unless you're running multiple programs while gaming like streaming and watching the chat and such. Then i would suggest 32. But other than that, 16 will be plenty

Yes! It is good. I don't have the game anymore so I can't give you an updated number since there have been many patches to improve the performance. Also keep in mind, I was recording this footage on OBS as well. Therefore, I will probably have less average FPS than you. But those numbers are good bro!

RAM also plays a big part in FPS. Having a dual channel RAM set up can increase your FPS dramatically in some games.

You should expect similar results. Maybe a couple of frames difference. My current settings now are different as well, still ultra, but I also turn up the "resolution scale", looks amazing, averaging around 60 fps still. Cheers!

AMD has more value for the money at this point because it's cheaper for what looks like more performance. However, if you're getting a system strictly for gaming, then I'd say Intel, since Intel chips still out-performs AMD in a lot of games.

@@oliver6944 Mine CPU is overclocked to 4.8ghz all core. This game uses some CPU power so yea, i think thats why u see a bit different in FPS, however, I recommend just cap your fps at 62-65 if you go all ultra on this system. I cap mine at 62 FPS with Resolution Scale x1.5

@@6kboomin689 of course! But it depends what you're trying to do. Are you looking to game in 1080p, 1440p or 4k. The 2080ti is really good with 4k if you're trying to break 60fps. It is the perfect card for 1440p and over kill for 1080p.
