@@struck2soon Boiler tubes and superheater elements are pretty much buggered. Hence the reason I made the Red Devil Substitute series. Those were all supposed to be Red Devil video's but the locomotive kept failing repeatedly.

The main thing about the red devil was the work done on it by David Wardale to try and improve efficiency. But I suppose that made it non-standard and SAR maybe didn't understand the gas producer system.
