Is there a way to turn off the AF touch or the entire touchscreen? It's incredibly annoying that I keep accidentally shifting the focus area. Also, is there a way to disable the swipe to video function?

See page 84 of the manual, you can switch off Touch AF. However I see no reference to switching off the Photo / Video swiping.

Hello, Thank you four great assistance. I have a serious problem with the Leica Q3 I just bought. The camera's settings constantly change without my consent. For example, the setting I made to shoot only DNG automatically changes to DNG&JPG. Then I set the ISO to 100 and it automatically switches to Auto ISO without my consent. This problem also occurs also in some other settings. I tried to solve the problem with my own means, but I couldn't. Maybe Am I doing something wrong while adjusting the settings? Do I need to lock the settings I made? If so, how and how is locking done? I would appreciate it if you could guide me on how to solve my problem. With thanks, Moiz Cukurel

Hi why are you so overwhelmed by the face detection on the Q3 which is only focusing at lucky occasions on my camera? what to do now. what recourse do I have ?

I spent a few hours with the Q3. Is it a good camera. Yes it is. Was I blown away? No. Not at all. The price however blown me away lol

On my SL2-S there is a base ISO indicator mark at ISO 100. That could also be added here.

My Q3 FINALLY arrived.......and it has a defective sd card slot😡😡😡.......Now i have to decide wether to just return it back or get it fixed with leica, which would take over a month.....ridiculous for a 6k "hand made in germany" camera. So pissed.

Great show as always. Auto ISO- Since we know the camera will overwrite the minimum SS if it is too dark to use the maximum auto ISO setting so it then uses a slower SS than you set as your minimum SS. Thus why not set Auto ISO to a high ISO number to prevent this problem like 25000 or 50000? Lou F.

Worked with Q3 today. Nice. One thing though, the housing material on the Q3 feels cheaper than my M11. What is the difference?

I have a Q3 and got an M11M yesterday...I don't know if the finish on a black M11 is the same as the M11M but a wonderful feel on the finish..feels slightly like a rubber feel with excellent grip.

I prefer to let the camera go all the way to the maximum in the Auto ISO settings vs capping at 6400 or even 12500. If the scene is that dark, I’d rather have ISO noise that I have a hope of correcting in post than motion blur that I can’t.

It has a 'T' mode. One press to start, another press to stop.

I enjoy my Q3 but the AF really isn’t amazing. It is improved but barely adequate. Kind of like Sony A7 about 10 years ago.

The sensor of the camera as a sensor of 64 iso, hence why they can provide 100 and 50.

They digitally made this trade to make look like the M has a true 64, but they both use the exact same sensor, which is the only available of this quality by SONY

So lemme get this straight. Panasonic cameras come out with hybrid autofocus, and now all of sudden a Leica camera has it too. Hm. 😐
