Thanks, I am working on getting better lighting in my garage. Right now there are all of two bulbs in the whole thing so I have to use shop lighting. My opinion is if you can't get a sun tan by laying out in your garage it isn't bright enough.

Normally I would say great video but I did hit the like button. Fact if you can use iron sights you can use any sight. Fact all red dots fail sometime. As for the 2 you mentioned that have never failed I call BS. . And murphys law says it will happen at the most critical time. Yes they are easier to learn than iron sights. You cant say that if all you know is red dots and scopes. On a Rifle I will take a 1X4 scope over any red dot any day anywhere. No batterys to fail. Now about gun focus vs target focus. Why one or the other why not both? When using iron sights I am 65 and I can focus on the target and both the front and rear sight at the same time. Even with my SKS at 1000m Thats right all 3 at the same time. Think about what you said about the history of man and throwing sticks and stones. The target is in focus but when the hand gets near releasing the stick or stone it is in your peripheral vision. And in focus. That is all you need to know to get all 3 in focus. If you don't get what I am telling you feel free to ask. It is easy to learn. And it would be a great video to pass on to your subs. NDR

Haha, I knew you would say something about red dots. I do agree on a rifle I would take a LPVO over a red dot any day, no electronics to fail. I also do agree that I am 100% sure that some Trijicon RMRs and Leopold DPPs have failed, just not in Aaron's paper. With proper training either can super effective.

Please do an update on what red dot you would recommend. Looking for Glock G20 G4 and 19 G3. Considering spending up to the $500 Steiner MPS but would rather go with Leupold DeltaPoint pro or Vortex ST Defender in the $350 range... I have lots of Leupold rifle scopes. Happy with their performance and love the customer service.

To be completely honest with you I don't own a ton of red dots. But I will say I have been very happy with the Leopold Delta Point Pro. It has a large field of view, is simple to use, super clear glass, durable, great warrantee, and the battery is SUPER simple to change. Also don't pay more then $350 + tax for a DPP. I have shot a Holosun and a Trijicon RMR on friends firearms and they worked super well and after reading about them to potentially get one they have great reviews and an excellent history. Although if you can avoid getting one that requires removal of the optic to change the battery, that is a huge plus in my book.
