Red Fisher was the partial inspiration for the Red Green character, when Steve Smith developed him in the late 70's early 80's for the smith & smith show.

Google : Dale Fisher Sarnia. He was Reds' son. He was a teacher of mine in the '80's. He told us how screwed up Red was . Obliviously the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. If you Google, Dale Fisher, Sarnia teacher, you'll see what I mean.
