@@felipeortega4975 I have no idea why they stopped Minor Thing, and really I'm speculating on Venice Queen: it's about their addictions counsellor that saved at least two of their lives from OD deaths
@BurnerAccount-yz5ot Жыл бұрын
@@rink64 there's a lot of info out there about how Flea wasn't all that happy with the direction of the band for a while during BTW, so I could see that being a reason why there isn't more of that album played...would be nice, though
@rink64 Жыл бұрын
@@felipeortega4975 Venice Queen is about Gloria Scott, the band's addiction counsellor who likely saved the lives of 2 to 3 of the members, and Kiedis in particular. They bought her a house in Venice Beach. Tragically, she developed cancer and passed away. They wrote Venice Queen for her, and to me it's the best song they ever wrote. I believe they stopped playing it because it hurt too much to play it. It was last played on the By The Way tour in 2003 in Edmonton Alberta, Canada. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think it was because Flea initially didn't like By The Way (album).
