My OG Red Komodo arrived last week and I couldn’t be happier!! Regarding the KX: don’t really use slow motion all that much and can work around the other little quirks that come with owning a cinema camera. Are the features really worth an extra $4k? For me? Not today 😂

Thanks for confirming that the black KX will be priced the same as the S/T version. Very hard for me to justify the USD4K price differential between Komodo variants, even with my current investment in CFExpress cards and V-mount batteries. Of course, that price differential will narrow if the price on the OG Komodo is increased.

The image processing from this camera and the new sensor is going to make this camera much better than people think. I’ve spoken to a sales rep who have demo’d this camera alongside a raptor and said it’s much closer to raptor than the original. In other words the og Komodo is gonna be out in the weeds. And 80fps 6k is really crazy

For the price and name brand, you would think they would offer better than very old contrast auto focus system. I usually work solo / run & gun and need good auto focus.

Yes, it’s not as good as Sony or Canon.
