Decided to do an overnight car camping trip at Red Red Rock Canyon State Park in California! For so long I've been wanting to check this place out and glad I finally did. Definitely a place I will be coming back to again. From amazing rock formations to beautiful campsites, Red Red Rock Canyon State Park has something for everyone.

Love it! Did my first solo camping trip last year. Went to Alabama Hills & it was scary but I knew I needed to do it. Once I was there it was love at first sight. I been solo camping since then. Gotta check out this spot tho. I did 3 nights at convict lake a couple months ago, it was beautiful. Anyways keep on rockin brother! 😎🤘🏼🍻

Oh no way nice! Alabama Hills is a great place to do a first solo camping trip. I love that you can be as isolated as you want or as surrounded by others, great place to find your comfort zone. I last camped there, also at the Ricardo Campground in August 2018. Went camping with a friend and her daughter to watch the Perseid meteor shower. You can really see the stars, although there's some light pollution to the south from L.A./Antelope Valley. It was a Sunday night, and I had to go to work the next day (in the afternoon). It was kinda cool waking up that morning at Red Rock Canyon and "commuting" to work later that day.

Hello there. Wondering if you could answer a question: is there a water spigot near the entry to this campground, or anywhere nearby? I'm pulling a trailer and I would hate to drag a few hundred pounds of water from the Los Angeles area. Thank you sincerely for your time and video!

Hello from what I can remember was a water spigot inside the campground in front of one of the restrooms 🙏 hopefully it’s still there, it was a couple steps away from where I camped hope this helps. From there info page: Camping Camping in developed sites only in Ricardo Campground. The campground is tucked up against the base of dramatic desert cliffs, with 50 primitive campsites, potable water, pit toilets, fire rings, and tables. Bring your own firewood, or purchase it at the visitor center. There are no RV hook-ups or showers. A maximum of 8 people is allowed per site (there are no group sites).

This an amazing video! Thanks for posting. I have a question about the wood platform: Does it cover the entire trunk space and lowered seats? And does the platform what the same all the time or does it fold so you can use the seats? Thanks! I am thinking of building one of these

Thank you for watching 🙌 the wood platform is composed to two pieces. This makes it possible to have the back seats fully up and usable. Once I’m ready to make the bed, I fold the sets down and the second part slides on top of them. It’s pretty easy to build nothing crazy on my Easter Sierra video which is one of my recent videos I show more of how I set it up. Hope this helps

The visitor center has flushing toilets and only open for a couple of hours during the day, the campsite itself does not have flushing toilets, they do have outside running water water. Hope this helps, thank you for watching 🙏
